How much space am I allowed for storing photos? Some people who will be using the web site have over 100 photos to upload.

Hello Carolyn,

It depends on which package you have. With Yola Free, you can have 1GB per website with a maximum upload size of 20MB.

With Yola Silver, you can have 5GB per site and 100MB file upload.

If you require extra storage, send an email to support@yola.com and they may be able to offer you more storage.

Hope this helps,

Andi

Hi Andi,
You were extremely helpful to me the last time I was here in the forums looking for help and once again I come across your advice and helpful nature! I'm finding that I'm possibly going to be needing more storage space (I have over 560 2-4mb sized files on my site right now and facing the possibility of needing to upload anywhere from 400 to 1200 more similar photos to the site) due to my choice of web gallery. I've taken your advice you've given to Carolyn and hope that I get some help from Yola Support (they are very quick to reply and do everything they can to help their customers).
On a side note, I wanted to thank you for your suggestion of Visual Lightbox for a web gallery. Unfortunately, I wanted to be able to use a Flash based gallery produced by Adobe Bridge/PhotoShop for my site. I did use the Visual Lightbox for my photo galleries first and it's an excellent product and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a great looking web gallery. I have your tutorial page for using VL saved to my bookmarks and refer anyone that asks to VL and your tutorial. Thank you for all the help and time you give here in the Support Forums.

Thank you very much for the praise!

I am very glad that you found the tutorial helpful. I wish you all of the best with whatever system you have decided to use.

If you have too many photos for your Yola system, you could upload them to Flickr and VL will incorporate into that. (You can then store the smaller thumbnails on your Yola system).

You could either use the incorporated Flickr settings with VL or just add the URL's of the photo's to the Source Code.

If you require anymore assistance, I will always endeavour to help!

Kind Regards and happy Sitebuilding!

Andi
