I'm trying to find information on the costs of using the online store. not the sign up costs, but commissions / transaction fees. Any help would be appreciated.

You are not seeing it because the online store is not your credit card processor......The shopping cart is used as a gate way to companies such as PayPal or Google Wallet (there are others) that you will need to have an account with and they take a % of each transaction like any other credit card processing company.Visit their sites to see their current fees.

Yola is your host, a service you pay for and not entitled to any sort of fee for your business transactions. What you see on sites that take a commission is that it is their site you list products on for free. They maintain everything and promote their site thus earning a commission for a sale. I have seen a few hosts that will charge a transaction fee and my advise is to run away from them asap.....That would be like you renting a building and having to pay your landlord a commission on sales.

Hello Peter

KanThaiDecor has given you an excellent answer (thanks!). As far as it relates to Yola products, we offer them to our customers without hiding additional costs. So Yola Online Store as a feature has a fixed price, no matter how much you sell, but Payment Gateways that you use will certainly charge you for transactions being made through them. To learn about their fees you will need to find out with them directly.

For an overview and more information about popular Payment Gateways that you can use with your Yola Online Store please see the Payment Options page by our online store partner ecwid.
