Just replied re the upgrade and thought I would also post this here, so that if other members do agree, they would please click on the 'like this idea too' box. Am sure there are lots who would also like these additions added. So, suggestions are (perhaps for next upgrade?)

1. Is it possible to click on an image/graphic and have on properties right hand side a box a place to give alternate text?

2. When altering names in Site Manager, can a box come up to ask if we wish the links also to be updated, then can select yes and all links will re-link to the new name?

3. Is it also possible to have an option of yes/no to be able to have links at the bottom of the page,ie as per the option for the top? However, with a choice to be able to choose left/right/centre aligned? This would save having to go thru every page and changing each page and adding to each page (especially when they do not update from Site Manager, when pages changed)?

4. Is it possible to have option to have a table widget installed, and ability to choose cells/columns? Would make life so so much easier.

5. When inserting a picture (from picture widget), it will not insert into cells only into a new text box. Can it be possible to insert picture widgets into tables/cells?

6. Lastly, is it at all possible to somehow put on the html/text boxes we pull across something to tell us what they are, as am putting quite a few html across, and have togo into each one to see which one is which if I need to change.

These probably are the ones that would be very very very helpful to lots of users, so hopefully others will 'like these ideas too'.

Thanks for all the info you provide, and especially for this Community Board.

1. If you put the image in a picture widget, this IS available on the properties tab on the right side. Make sure the picture widget is selected--the green part on top of the widget box should be a darker green color when it's selected.
If it's in a text widget, you can put it in manually by clicking on the blue html box at the far right of the text editor

4. & 5. Try the text editor here: http://html101.yolasite.com/

As for the rest, I'm sure Yola will note them and may or may not implement them in the future. They're always glad to get suggestions though.

Hello JenC

Diane is correct - we do already offer you the ability to add an alt text through the Picture Widget.

You have shared some great ideas and I'll make sure they get passed along to our development team for future consideration.

Keep those ideas coming! :)

Hi Jen

Thank you for your suggestions - we always like hearing them! I am one of the Product Managers at Yola and Sanja forwarded your ideas on to me.

Some of these are easier to implement than others, but I have made a note of all these ideas so that we can put them in our list of possible features when we start working on the next revisions for the site builder.

We have heard #6 for a while -- there are definitely ways we can make it easier for you to see what's inside text/html widgets.

Thanks again!

Rian and everyone thanks for this. Really all I mean was a simple way to click on an image/photo/graphic which is brought in via text boxes - possibly when click on one of these, then on the right hand side where the margin boxes are, underneath, could be an area to enter alternate text. Realise about the other area to go to in the html tutorials, however, this will take forever as have lots and lots of photos/images and taking too long with the image box. However, will try it and be patient again. Do not like it, tho,, as one cannot place the cursor in with the image and type under it or alongside the image, only way to do so is bring in a text box under it. By using the graphic widget and if one wants to move the image slightly right or left, with spaces, it is not able to be done only able to move left/right/centre. Just thinking perhaps there might be an easier way coming up in the future.
4-5. These are very similar in that it takes such a long long time at present, and am sure there could be simpler ways.
I suppose when one is used to using FrontPage, Expression Web, or Dreamweaver and these are readily available, it seems such a long long way to get things done.
However thank you for your answers. Perhaps as you said Rian, they can be put on the 'possible' features on next revisions.
Again, do like what you are doing and appreciate all the hard work. Just thought I would mention these toyou.
Again thank you.

Hi to Yola team. I know this is one year old, Where did it go!
But just wanted to say to say thank you for upgrades (as have been away for a little whiIe again), think what you have done is really good in implementing new things. Just thought I wld bring this list up again.

Still a couple of the above list would be nice and wondered if they were still in the pipeline (hopefully?). Especially indicating the edit/html boxes so we know what is in them as some of mine are around 9+ and a real hassle to go into each one and guess which is which, especially when some pages have different ones on them (I know Silver can have css files, but not everyone can have Silver).

Also option of the links at bottom would be great (in plain text). Also is it possible to have a rename page and be asked if all links should be updated?
Again thanks again to all the 'back end' people of Yola for their hard work.

Hi JC

Thanks so much for your comments and feedback.

When you say "Also option of the links at bottom would be great (in plain text)." do you mean a menu in the footer? If so, this is possible in Yola Silver. You have access to the header and footer areas and can add menu links using HTML here.
