I'm interested in switching from paying for my Silver package annually, to paying the monthly rate. How would this affect my domain name and custom email?

It wouldn't affect your domain name or your Yola Mail. The only difference is that domains and Yola Mail can only be subscribed for annually. If you switch to monthly payment of your hosting package and you're not on auto-renewal and you miss to pay for it or you cancel it, you will not be able to use your domain and Yola Mail after your hosting package has expired.

I'd recommend that you stay with annual payment because you will save two months compared to paying 12 months monthly and you can always be sure that our service will not be interrupted.

If you'd still like to change to monthly payment, please send us a message, using our Contact Support Form in order to be able to connect you to your account and keep your privacy. Thanks.

Stefan, your first sentence says it WOULDN'T affect my domain name or Yola mail. Then you say it DOES. I don't understand your contradictory statements.

It would affect the usability of your domain name and Yola Mail if your monthly hosting package is not renewed at some stage.

So if you purchase a domain and Yola Mail on January 1st 2013, you will need to do this for one year, i.e. they would both expire on January 1st 2014. To publish your Yola website to your custom domain and to use the Yola Mail e-mail service, you'll need a running hosting package, such as Yola Silver. If you subscribe to Yola Silver monthly, and, let's say you let it expire after 5 months on June 1st 2013, you will then not be able to keep your website published to your custom domain nor use Yola Mail.

However, you won't lose your custom domain, it will be registered for one year under your name, but you won't be able to use it for pulishing your Yola website to it if you don't have a running hosting package.

Did I manage to explain it better to you this time? Please let me know if you have any questions.

Stefan, you're answering my question with the invalid and somewhat insulting assumption that I would default on monthly payment and "let it expire." My question was in no way about what happens if I default on payment. I received a straightforward answer through email from another support staff that didn't negatively assume I'm going to skip and lose my services.
