Hi Laura, I'd really love some help on my site from a fresh pair of eyes who have a lot of experience with presenting great websites. I think that my site just doesn't look professional enough. I keep trying to use different styles and move information around but still think I'm just not quite there. Over the weekend I've been trying your idea for the spa site you helped but at the moment can't figure out how you got the whole columns to be in different colours. I really like Yola and in fact have recommended it to several people. I think Yola offers great things which are quite user friendly for non webby people like me but I REALLY need your help, please. :))) I've recently upgraded to Gold to try and boost my listings but I'm not sure that I'm using all of the Gold advantages and don't know what else to do so I'd really appreciate some guidance on this too. Huge thanks to all you guys. Liz

Hi Liz,

Thanks for your response! Regarding the colors for the spa website columns, I used a column divider widget to create the columns and then placed a custom panel widget in each column and selected the colors from the options in the Custom Panel Widget.

Hi Laura and Yola team,
I have tried to incorporate your suggestions from the article in my site and am quite pleased with the more streamlined look: www.doreplay.co.uk
I am a Kindermusik educator currently teaching in UK but am planning to start again in India in the summer, and intend it to be an ongoing buisness. I have been playing around with the sites but wanted them to have different looks, unless you disagree.
We have access to lots of logos, pictures, etc and corporate colours, etc. but I am unsure how to make my site look more profesional and less like picture here, text there, etc.
My site I'm interested in improving most is www.kiwithcaroline.yolasite.com
Thank for for this wonderful opportunity, and for considering my application.

Hi Laura

My website is fairly new and I am currently working on my online shop. However, since upgrading to Gold I have been having problems with meta tag descriptions and improving the search ranking of my site. I've looked at the tutorials etc but am still struggling with this. It would be great to get advice on the general look of the site too at this stage as I am currently paying for advertising and would like to make the most of the people who are clicking through to the site via that.

I am committed to spending as much time as necessary to make the site the best I can.

Many thanks

Boa noite Laura,

Obrigado. Mario

Hi Laura,
I feel that I should get the free website makeover because I am a small business trying to grow in the review world. I want to please the fans of my site but I don't really have any. I have a couple and I want to grow. I feel that the path I have chosen is a good one. People who need a tip on what movie to see can go check my website and see which one me and my team said is the best. I also want to be able to travel more so I can make more national restaurant trips. As of right now it isn't necessary because I don't have the "crowd" to please. I know I am probably talking about nothing the question asked for, but I do care about this profession and I want to make it worth it. I want to feel accomplished when I go to the Site Traffic tool and see 200 or even more. I hope that you can help me with that! Or maybe even a little shoutout if that is not too pushy.

Hopefully you take into consideration what I am trying to do and choose to help me out. If not, I completely understand and respect everyone for their reasons. If however you do choose me, I would prefer email only.

Thanks,
Nick of whatnickthinks.com

Hi I have built my own website by taking a premium package.I do not have the experience required ,however I have managed successfully to upgrade my website to a search grade A and also eliminate all the errors thanks to the questions/answers to Yola support. But obviously an expert will deliver a deliver a different product as compared to what I achieved.I am looking forward to that and making my website a professional one which would attrcat the most important things that is clients.Knowiung the fact that the purchase is based SOLELY on a what the client actually sees.....
Please consider my website walesadvisor.com

I've been taking some time to design my website in mind of the customer, and inline with SEO. However, I'm worried my style of layout does not work well as I am not getting any calls to action. Another point of view/fresh eyes would help me enourmously.

Hello Laura,
I would love to have some professional input regarding my website. It is my first attempt at web design. I recognize that design is not one of my strengths, but I was excited to find Yola to help me. I love the full-featured elements and ease of use. Unfortunately, the rest was up to me. I got overwhelmed with coming up with the content, and trying to present it in a concise, attractive way was difficult for me. I want my website to be visually appealing, cohesive and professional. I don't feel that it has a professional look. I would love some input on how to improve my website.

Thank you,
Peggy

Dear Laura,
Over the last year or so, we have spent a lot of time testing different designs and layouts on our website: www.inachee.com

Our testing showed that the bounce rate (as we have google analytics) changed quite a bit depending on the colour and design we used, despite the content remaining the same.

We came to the conclusion that improving the website site design will greatly reduce our bounce rate. The current bounce rate is however still higher than we would like.

The website is very important to us (and the design) as a lot of our traffic is coming in via pay per click campaigns.

We would therefore greatly appreciate a review so as to enable us realise better value for our web strategy investment.

Thank you

I used godaddy.com for my own website creation, I have had it up since August 2012. It serves a purpose, information and for potential clients to see that I'm a legitimate business. However, I feel like it's missing the personal touch, as I deal with seniors and their families. My site is lacking a warm and fuzzy feeling and professionalism. I also noticed that blogging/wordpress seems to be the way to go. So I'm torn if my site is adequate, I don't get any feedback or referrals from my website, so I'm not sure if it's working for me.

Any help/advice/feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Laura,

I've been with Yola ever since I started my site. Now I'm into my 2nd year with Yola and Yola has been great.

I design and maintain a website for my wife who is a real estate professional in Singapore (www.evelynho.me). There are tons and tons of real estate website in tiny Singapore and I've been trying to differentiate my wife's site from the masses. I started designing from scratch (I didn't have any web design experience when I started out more than 1 year ago) and honestly I really can't judge whether my work is really good or not.

The site currently doesn't really get a lot of hits every day and I've had to put ads on AdWords to drive traffic to the site.

I would love to get some professional advice on the site layout, colors and the way I link things up. And, it'd be SO great if I can also get help on how to improve traffic. I really want to help my wife out with her advertising and driving more leads. She is currently working part-time on real estate and full-time taking good care of our two beautiful kids. I really appreciate her so much. I feel that this is the least that I can do to support her job (in return for her big sacrifice taking care of our kids).

Thank you!

Chet

Hi Laura,
I'm from India and love using Yola! We are a foundation working for children living with cancer and would love to have our site spruced up so as to generate interest and support. We just have a bronze account so it would be awesome if you can turn our simple site to something fresh and interesting!
Thanks!

Hello Laura,
I designed our Yola website last year, http://www.theelephantgeraldshow.com/ as a medium to promote my husband's and my project 6 years in the making. As our mission states on our home page: "Elephant Gerald is a series of stories created to entertain, delight, and inspire young children in the heritage of Jazz & Blues music. With endearing tales, music, and characters set deep in the Louisiana bayou, a new generation will experience and explore this uniquely American art form." As of the last month, we have a story blog for children, facebook page, and twitter account. We also are a couple months away from having a 5 minute animated short that we are hoping to get into some film festivals. I want my website to look more professional for the entertainment industry and make links to the blog and FB page more accessible.Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! I would love a website makeover! I have been using Yola for a couple of years and really like it. But I am just using basic applications. I feel like with some guidance and insight gained from a makeover, I could then use those tools to keep my website looking fresh and new. I have a dance studio and would really like to be able to upload a video clip, have parents be able to register online, possibly make payments online, view a calendar of events, sign up for monthly newsletter. Just become more user friendly and eye catching!

I know there is more that can be done on my site, and with your help I know I can do it. Thanks! This would be soooo great!!
