My site is a page dedicated to a character I have in an online (role-playing) game, who is very deranged. So, I have some questions and concerns.

"You will use the service for its intended purpose of the creation and growth of a professional online presence."
I'm basically writing some history (in the form of diaries) about my character and how she becomes the deranged killer she is today. She is offensive (curses, is violent, etc) and thus the content may be offensive, but otherwise I'm not out there to bother people - it's a fictional story. If I had to describe the level of offensiveness, I guess think Silent Hill, Fallout, Bioshock, and any horror movie or psychological thriller. I have not written any of the diaries yet, but you'll get an idea from reading the main page of what it'll be like.

I do some mild cursing there myself.

Thanks! I don't intend to break any rules, but clarification would be appreciated. And, please don't laugh too hard at it, it's just a silly hobby :-)

Edit: took out the picture question, I'll just keep it off the site.

Hi Lumberjack Lan

Thank you for taking the trouble to read our terms of service before proceeding with your site. Although we generally do not discuss these types of concerns in our public forum, I will answer your question in a general way for the benefit of anyone else with similar questions and if you would like to discuss this in more detail it would be better to email us privately.

You have quoted the relevant clause from our terms of service, and I would also like to emphasize it. The Yola platform is intended for use by small to medium businesses who are using their website to promote these businesses and grow their professional online presence. While we do have customers who make use of our platform for personal use or hobby sites, these also need to abide by our terms of service and in no way detract from the professionalism and family friendly ethos that we try to uphold.

Although I don't believe that it would be appropriate to comment on your site specifically, I can say that as a general rule obscenity and the depiction of graphic violence are not appropriate and we kindly request that all users refrain from using our hosting to post this type of content.

I hope this gives you some idea. If you are still unsure, please drop us an email and we would be happy to discuss further.
