Thats not a problem!! I think this should have been is idea forums..
Anyways, though i m just a normal user so my statements are not official, but i can tell you that higher uploading limit take more space, which might needs more resources etc. Managing more resources is not an easy task. So even if they increase it to 10 Mb, it may take some time. Its not an overnight process.

I can just advice you that, if you have high resolution pictures, scale them down, that might help.

It isnt about being dumb, i just wanted my statement to be clear even to a novice (you may be an internet demi-god, but unless i know it i would keep my sentences simple). Secondly, though i m not months old at synthasite, but i do keep an eye on forums and discussions, and moreover i m not supposed to make statements on company's behalf even if i m sure of something!!

I also want the limit to increase. If synthasite doesn't do it then I would like to know a different website program that would allow over 5mb. I need way over 5mb. I want to post videos that are 49mb and above.

We currently have a limit of 5MB per file, although there is no limit to the number of files that you can upload or the space available for your site. If you have a individual file that is larger than 5MB you could use a free file hosting service such as: http://tinyurl.com/wwwboxnet or http://www.mediafire.com/ and link to it from your site.

Hi

There is a simple soloution to your problem. If you want more space than this free service will allow then pay for it people. If you need more than the 5mb's then try a service such as 1webhost.co.zawho offer excellent products and service at a great price.

Its about simplicity when you go to places like synthasite and weebly. If your gonna pay for hosting and need more options you go to places like hostgator.com. one that is large and trusted. you don't pay for a service that can't even use .com, .org, or .net. if the hosting service can't or won't buy a real domain name, why would you pay for the service? i mean it's 10 a year to get a domain name, have to question the integrity of a site who is unwilling to get a real and common domain name.

I agree the file size even for a free domain if far too small specially with other free hosting services allowing for 100 mb uploads or higher. Can't even upload most free ebooks on that size nor free software applications. the limit should be at least 25 mbs per file. 50 mb file sizes would make all but the ones who wanna download illegal software to their sites happy.

also ppl who say snap, peeps, home skillet and other outdated slang, online need a dose of reality. the moment a word becomes popular among the outcasts of society it is no longer sociably acceptable to use.

Hi I just wanted to include in a way you can link to and store your files to link to from your site for FREE.

These are the supported files
* document file (doc, txt, pdf, rtf, xls)
* music file (mp3, ogg, wav, mid)
* video file (avi, mpg, mpeg)
* image file (jpg, gif, bmp, png)
* zip file (zip, rar, arj)
* any other types

You may upload as many files as you like to, but they should fit your virtual drive space. The space limit is 5 GB per account.

Currently 4shared sets a 100 MB size limitation per file. Your files must not exceed the limit, otherwise they will be rejected.

If the size of the file is more than 100 MB, you can split the file into smaller parts and upload them separately using the multi-upload feature.

http://www.4shared.com/

I hope that some of you who need the extra storage can use this free service to include their 10MB to 100MB files.

Happy site building
Ed
