The GREAT Talk.Ki disaster . . .

I started my Yola site because I wanted a site with an integrated FORUM. This I did and installed TalKi on it. When it was up and running I intended to upgrade Yola to silver or gold because I was pleased with it. Unfortunatly the Talki login system DOES NOT WORK (I and other people can't even register new members at the moment), simply stated TalKi is a disaster and there seems little point in upgrading Yola as I don't have a functioning FORUM now.

Hi Ken,

It's not good when something that is an integral part of your site fails for you. I have used Nabble without issue and do recommend it, I have also used Tal.ki and it's simply not my preference and I haven't pursued it long enough to experience any negative aspects. I know this is a less than satisfactory option when you already have something established but it may in the long run take you out of the problem?

This is not just me, if you you check the Talki support site (or should I rename it "don't answer any questions and they will give up and go away site") you will see I am one of many. What I was delicately hinting at in my previous post was IF YOLA RECOMMENDS AND ENCOURAGES YOU TO USE SOMETHING then they bare some responsibility for it.
I am sorry I am not much impressed by your answer.

I am sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with Tal.ki.

I have brought your post to the attention of our partnership product manager. While we cannot speak to their current issue, we do agree that as a partner we would like them to support our members in a manner that aligns with the support they can expect from us.

We were able to see that Tal.ki was having server issues with forums hosted on websites that they believe to have resolved. Please see replies 14 and 15 in this thread.

Can you please let us know if your forum is back up? If it's not we will contact Tal.ki for more information.

Hello Laura,
Thank you for your considered replies.
I am please to tell you that today TalKi seem to have resolved this problem and the Login on this form is now working.
If TalKi is a problem (other people seem to think so) would it be a good idea for Yola to replace their embedded forum Talki with NABBLE.
Again I stress I am not a forum expert and rely on Yola for their help and guidance on this.
