The site builder all of a sudden requires authentication

Hi Yola,

All of a sudden, the site builder requires authentication. (not the Yola-login, but like a browser login that I have never seen on Yola. It's like the directory of the site builder on the server is password protected) Here's a screenshot:

I've never seen this before. Is this just an error?

By the way, my browser is Google Chrome.

Thanks,
Nathan

I got that too. It looks like someone password protected the directory that My Yola and the Site Builder is in, causing this to pop up. In the site builder, it shows what my second screenshot shows above, a 401 Authorization Required error.

When I log in to Yola and want to open my website I get a complete new screen wheere I have to fill in my account and pass.
It doesn't accept this

Authorization Required

This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

Now I'm really gettig sad. I need to update the site after my vacation.

I tried to go to my Yola website, and got a pop-up box requesting my log in details. Is this actually a yola request, or is it malware?

Every Time I try to go to my website a window pops up and says:

"Authorization required [And some other stuff]
userservice
Username:
Pass: "

So I'd type in my Information and it would just keep popping back up and wouldnt let me do anything on my website.

This happens in both Opera and Firefox.

Glad to see from your comment below that the issue is sorted for you. The problem we experienced had no impact on published sites, rather, we needed to redirect traffic on our Sitebuilder servers to resolve the issue.

Hi All,

We have redeployed all our Sitebuilder servers and the user service login request you have been seeing is no longer there. Please refresh your browsers and resume Sitebuilding activities.

Sorry for all the excitement on a Monday!

Hi numus19,

One on my engineers assured me that the proxy path that caused this for you earlier has been fixed and you will not see it again. So sorry for the confusion, and really nice Googling to find this post!
