Hi,

It sounds as if your site hasn't been indexed by Google. In that case it won't appear in your search bar.

You will first need to Verify your site Google Webmasters and then wait for the Google bots to crawl and index your site.

I hear what you are saying but no site will appear in the search facility until it's indexed. Part of the process of indexation requires validation of ownership.

It's the same for Yahoo and Bing also. You have to go through a validation process by adding a code or record to your site so that the robot can match this up with what it issued to the owner.

So what you need to do is to go through that verifiction process as outlined in the linked Tutorial mentioned above. If you have problems with this please let us know here and we'll help you get through this. It's a once of procedure thereafter it is reasonably automatic.

The other advantages are that you can see your strengths and weaknesses wrt the Search Engine Optimisation and it really helps you get your site noticed earlier and closer to the top page.

Hi Mov Reptile House,

I'm sorry you're having a problem verifying your site with Google Webmaster. From what I can see, there is no Google Webmaster verification code on your site.

Could you confirm whether you have been able to go through the tutorial to get started with setting Google Webmaster up?

As Gop has mentioned, your site first needs to be indexed by the search engines before it appears in a Google search. Building a site that is search engine friendly does take time. There are many things you can do to speed up the process, and we have a great set of tutorials that will help you get started with optimizing your site. Take a look at them here: Promotion, SEO, Traffic and Advertising.
