Im not sure if this has been posted already but meh:

Anyways, I have been browsing and found alot of people were talking about the words being stuff up when they copy and past them onto Yola. I had similar issues awhile back with another host and it is indeed extremly frustrating.
Since there isnt a platform for a spell check while typing on Yola, i will need to assume that most people would hae save their blog post on their actual computers (as notepad)

Here is how you can use or copy and paste from microsoft words and not destroy the format or the fonts on Yola (this will only work with Microsoft words 2007>)

1/ Go to files (the Circle dot on the top left hand side)
2/ Go down to 'Pusblish'
3/ on publish menu, select 'Blog'

then it will turn microsoft word into a Blog format. You can type, add pictures, spell check and other facility that is offered in microsoft words. you can save it like a file on your computer and copy and paste them onto your Yola site. And best of all, it has a better presentation then Notepad (not as messy) and will appear more organised...

I mean for the saved copy, it is always good to have a backup, server down = work offline. Server online = copy and paste, not time consuming and have a good back up too.

Hope it helps lol...

Hello WowKid

This is an interesting suggestion that you have shared. I have tried this but was unsuccessful. When you got to save your file, what is the file extension that you use? When you say "copy" your file, do you simply mean, highlight the content and then paste directly into your blog?

I am a little wary though that the MS word formatting will still be transferred over. If this is the case, then this will be problematic.

If you wish to format your text and spell check it, we recommend this text editor:

If you edit your text here, and then copy and paste the HTML into Yola, it will generate valid markup for you that will not break your page the way MS Word does. It is also a good idea to save a copy on your computer, as WowKid suggests.
