Think about this before creating a site.

When creating a site don't just make any type of site, evently you get bored and delete it. Create a site about something you like. For example say i like Animals and i make a site about Atomic Waste and its global affects, Interesting topic but it won't be interesting....

Upon liking something you get ideas which creates more pages and pages. And guess what Google loves pages, It has been proven the more unique content you have your google rating will increase... And an increase rating means more traffic, and traffic for adsense users means more Revenue $$$$...

So think about this before creating a site

John S. is right on with these comments.

It is so much easier to make a site about something that excites you. The pages just keep flowing and you can't seem to stop.

This is exactly what the search engines are trying to find -- people who have a lot to say -- a lot of quality, original things to say -- about a topic. They know that this is where the best content comes from. And thus the most site visitors.

Oftentimes the best websites grow organically. They are not planned out in full detail way in advance. But rather, they spring from some real need, or some fun project. Craig's List grew in that way, as did many catalogues of information people pay attention to as a hobby, such as Art Cyclopedia.

I'm with John in encouraging people to give it a go, creating a site about one of their favorite topics, and just building as they feel the inspiration.
