Can we have thumbnails which when clicked will open larger in a new window? This way we can put more pictures on a page, and folks can click if they wish to see?

Hi Sal,

Apologies for the delayed response. The Flickr Lightbox Widget allows you to quickly and easily create a slick photo gallery with thumbnails that link to larger images. Here's how it is done:

1. In the Sidebar in Yola, open the "Photo Galleries & Video" folder.
2. Drag and drop a Flickr Lightbox Widget onto your page.
3. In the properties sidebar enter your Flickr account email address (usually a Yahoo! address) in the email address field.
4. In the "Photo Count" field, enter the number of images you want to display.
5. In the "Search" field, enter the tags of the photos you want to pull from Flickr (make sure you have added tags to your Flickr photos or you will not get the desired result).
6. Specify how many columns you want for your photo gallery.
7. Click on the Image Size drop down menu to select small square, thumbnail or medium sized images.
8. Finally, choose between a "modern" or "plain" style for your photo gallery images.
9. Click the "Apply" button to update your photo gallery.

Now save and preview your page. You will have a gallery of clickable images. In the top right hand corner of the large view of the images, click the "next" button to view the next image in the gallery. Click the "Close" button when you are finished browsing through your gallery.

Note: If there are privacy settings on your Flickr photos the search will not be successful. The photos need to be publicly available for it to work.

We have a great tutorial for you to view, please click here: Photo Galleries.

Kershnee, is there another way to do that using Picasa or directly in the Yola sitebuilder with photos uploaded to the file manager?

Hello Margie

You can use Picasa Web Albums to create a Flash slideshow to embed in your site. Each slideshow features built-in playback controls, size options, and the ability to display captions.

To create and embed a slideshow:

1. Sign in to your Google Account for [Picasa Web Albums]( using your Google Account username and password.
2. Click the "My Photos" link and select the album you'd like to make a slideshow.
3. Click on the "Link to this album" - at the right of your screen.
4. Then click the "Embed Slideshow" link. This creates a Flash slideshow from the album you've selected. When you update this album, your slideshow is automatically updated to show the latest photos.
5. To embed the slideshow, copy and paste the HTML code that's shown into an HTML Widget on your webpage.
