Top banner image size for Squeaky Clean template

Hello,

I'm using the Squeaky Clean template and I'd like to put a top banner image under the menu. I'd like the image to be as wide as the rest of the body content that will follow underneath.
Can anybody tell me how wide would the banner need to be? I'm guessing 990 px but I'd like to be sure and get it right to avoid random manual attempt at resizing it once it's loaded.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Emanuela

The width on the Squeaky Clean style is set at 100%. What that means is that it will scale depending on the width of your screen resolution.

I understand that you would not want to manually change it after it is loaded, so I suggest that you create a banner of 990px but make sure that it is scaleable. There are a few ways in which to do this. One way, is to align the banner left and make the banner background the same color as the banner. You can do this using CSS and HTML.

Another way, is to make a background that repeats - a banner that has a pattern that can be repeated as the one on the Yola website. You can add code that will repeat the banner pattern across the page. This means that it will scale to the size of the viewer's screen.

Hope this helps! If you need help with the codes, please let us know and we'll be happy to assist.

Thank you

Hello Nazlie and thanks for your prompt reply.

I see what you mean but I had something else in mind and really want to avoid manual resizing since it can get messy and the overall alignment will be very inconsistent.

I've settled for 979 px and the rest of the widgets I add afterwards (HTML , text etc) seems to be defaulting to that so all seems good to me.

I haven't published the site yet but once I do I might post the link to show you what I mean.

Once again thanks and have a great day.
