Traffic and affiliate programs

My site has been online for just a few days now . According to Google analytics I receive 5 visits per day . I'm surprised I received this many visits and I'm not even indexed yet . Must be some sort of mistake or something . Anyway I was looking to join a few affiliate programs once my daily traffic count is in the 200-500 range . I'm definitely going to have to make my website a very long term affair in order to get the traffic most affiliates want . Just curious , anyone receiving this kind of traffic to their websites ? Would you care to post your visits for the last day or so ? Thanks

Honeybearsplayhomes is based on a synthasite template yes. Ed has done amazing stuff customising his site. So the answer is yes but not out of the box. Ed's site has many tutorials on the way he did things so it's worthwhile browsing through his site.

Casey's site is his second generation and he's going great guns. Both of these blokes are very easy to talk to and I'm sure they will give you any hints they can. Casey has made a few posts on his progression and has done great analysis on what is working for him and why he thinks he should head in certain directions. I would find a post of Casey's and click his bio. That will list all his posts I think If it's not his bio then his name line does the trick.

You can leave a message here with some highlight to the sites or even this post is likely to catch their attention in time.

A third site comes to mind: http://forsite.synthasite.com. Boomer has developed a great site with all sorts of things and I think affiliates. He has an faq and contact facility also on his site. Go have a look. In fact there are many sites that would fit the bill.

Goodluck bob.

Hi Bob

I must say that although my site may look as it does today it did not always look so... In fact it was only July that I had a blank page with an empty stare on my face. Truly I was taken aback and felt like I could not do it. All I can say is read everything that you can here in the forums and you to will have a great site that will get you attention and noticed.

The style that I chose was "Tastelessly" as it allowed for the widest page layout for the most content that I could add. 90% of my site is all custom and done with hundreds of insomnia filled nights. Trust me if I can do it you can as well.

While I have many useful items on my Links page I have posted the majority of my tips here in the forums and at over 1000 replies you will see that 90% are informational. These are but a few...

Keep up the good work and happy site building

Bob,

Hello, I hope we can all help you. Did you post your web address anywhere? I would like to look at your site and see your progress.

I first of all would like to say that Ed has more website making ability in his pinkie than I have in my entire body. He is truly the champ around here.

However I have had a great deal of success because I have produced content and what I mean by content is in my case articles and information about my topic Forex Trading. I have a target audience and I know what they want and they is what I give them.

For example my site is visually unappealing and not pretty very boring but I know my audience is Forex Market Traders and they want information to improve there trading skills. so that is What I give them.

Ed on the other hand is targeting parents and children and they need to be able to see what they are getting and so his site has to be more visually appealing than my site.

So know your audience and give them what they want and you will get traffic. If you have not targeted a specific group yet that must be your first step.

I do get 200- 500 visitors per day and I do this totally by writing articles. I researched my niche and found all the top sites in that niche. Then I started to post comments in their blogs and communicate with them. I have been able to build relationships with them and now when I write articles I have those articles posted on other sites with links to my site. I now have 8 sites that have my articles on them and that is what drives me 88% of my traffic according to google Analytics.

I have written other tips in a previous post here http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

Also if you are going to be a successful affiliate only use high quality products test them and use them yourself. All the products I promote I use, so I know they work and are good.

The best affiliates are people that help others, I spend time helping people solve problems and then they realize I am not in this to promote junk and make a profit I am in this to help people and help people achieve success and then I build up trust and they will try my products I promote.

So, write quality articles and help people achieve what they are trying to achieve and you will begin, over time to separate yourself from the rest of the internet affilate crowd that is just trying to promote junk to make a profit on the net. Like those stupid sales letter pages that have no substance just a sales pitch. Be a person of substance and success will come, more than you ever imagined.

I hope this helps.

Casey here's the url to my website . hppt://homemade2.synthasite.com

It's in the beginning stages and I actually get 5 visits daily according to Google analytics . The site has already been submitted via Google webmaster services but no of the pages have indexed yet . After I get about 20 pages I'll upgrade to paid domain . My aim is to have a 50-75 page site . Your critiques of my site will be appreciated . Thanks

Bob,

That is a great niche. You could do well with homemade items. I used to make handmade soap.

There is an incredibly successful soap website that you could get ideas for your toothpaste website.

http://www.millersoap.com

The author of this site gets tons of traffic because the content is so helpful and useful. I learned everything I knew about making soap from this website.

So you will want a page that is like that. This page brings tons of traffic naturally no extra work required because the information is so good.
