How is the widget added to the page?

i.e. in a text widget or in a html widget - Also is it the only code in that widget?

What happens when you click the x to delete the widget?

But the other content is in seperate widgets?

What i would suggest doing is click 'save as' make acopy of the page and delete the search widget from the newly saved page... Then click 'refresh page' and see if all the other content actually has been deleted, If the other content is in a different widget it should not be deleted.

If that doesnt work save the page as again and try to delete the code (instead of clicking the x) - see if that works.

If either work out then go back to the original page and replicate what you did.

Lee.

Hi Craig,

This sounds like invalid HTML code was added to the page. Therefore it is affecting the rest of the widgets on your page. Can I please have the URL of your site for me to take a look and we can take it from there.

I noticed this:

<script type='text/javascript'>
var sid = '74450';
var title_color = '000000';
var description_color = '646360';
var link_color = '7FBE00';
var background_color = 'FFFFFF';
var border_color = '646360';

</script><script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.mediagridwork.com/mx.js'&g...;

I don't know if it matters if it's a single quote mark or a double quote mark around your text/javascript. All the other script codes in your site are double quote marks.

See right after the Search the Web: you have a parenthesis ( instead of the arrow thing < before your /b. Try changing that and see if this makes any difference.

The other text was running perfect until I added that traffic swarm text. The text you cited is a different online advertising text.

Hi Craig,

Are you able to edit the HTML in that particular widget? If so, can you change this section:
<!--
<font face="arial" size="-1"><b>Search the Web:(/b></font>
-->

to

<!--
<font face="arial" size="-1"><b>Search the Web</b></font>
-->

Not the change to the second < b > tag.

If you're using IE7 and it won't let you, try Firefox as it's often a lot more forgiven with loading broken code.

First, save your page as a temporary build page not in the index for saftey. Try to move the bad widget below all others, save, then delete the bad widget. See if this works...
