im wondering if there is anyway to start from scratch and not use a template or style? i would like to set a picture as my background, and have my txt and info scroll over top of the pic, so the pic doesn't move. is this possible?
i figured out how to set a picture as the background, but then there is just a solid white box over top of it where the txt would go, i would be ok with this if i could make the box transparent. is this possible?

Hi wenday,

There may be a way of removing the box but it truly is style dependent. If you can tell me your website address I can look at this for you and see if the fix is easy or complex.

Another way is to use one of the open styles which really are blank canvases with a facility of the menu built in. The menu can be managed easily and hidden so it becomes an open workspace. With CSS use it almost becomes a fluid theme.

The styles best to use for this is Squeaky Clean there are others as well so if the first has some limitation I can suggest others.

The box would need to be styled with CSS to set a transparent background. What you are seeing is an effect of the style. using Squeaky Clean by default gives a transparent text box background.

To prevent the background image scrolling this can be set in the background setting itself and set to no scroll.
