Hi,

I see loads of people asking this but cannot find an answer. I would like to make my text widget background transparent so that when it is placed inside a custom panel, it won't block the panel background. I am using the Midnight style.

Thanks for the help.

Hello Billy

With most Styles the background of Text Widgets should be transparent. For the Midnight Style you chose the background is set to black.

To change this, you will need to edit your Site CSS. Please follow these steps:
  1. Click on "Style" in the lower menu bar of your Sitebuilder.

  2. Click on the "Edit Custom CSS" button on the right-hand side.

  3. Copy this code completely:
    .sys_txt {

    background: transparent;
    }

  4. Paste the code into the left overrides box of your CSS Editor.

  5. Click on "OK", and preview your website.

Now your Text Widgets should all have a transparent background.

Oh, and if you could link me to the posts on our forum where you've seen that they weren't answered, that would be awesome. Thanks. :-)

Thanks Stefan, it worked like a charm.

I've seen 2-3 posts about it but they are all either the posters are not using Silver (so they can't change CSS and thus you guys did not provide the code) or they changed to the Clean Slate style eventually. So I guess you won't need to do something about them.
