Trouble at www.codnor.info
Does anyone else suffer from their page formatting disappearing. You know, youve layed everything out just were you want it, then as soon as you look at your site, everythings moved. My site keeps doing this, it losses the template and just shows the page in its raw state. No matter what template I use it keeps doing this, it even does it when im working on the site. Clicking refresh can put everything back to normal, but I can't keep doing that. It happens when you view my site from any computer please try it and let me know if you fing the page displayed incorrectly www.codnor.info So far the Synthasite staff have'nt managed to catch it doing it yet, but they've probably got super-duper computers.

Please have a look and let Monique know if you see the template missing.

HELP!!!!!!!!

Hey Stuart,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this difficulty. I've had a look at your site and have refreshed various pages numerous times. I have however not seen the problem that you are describing.

You have built a great site and I'd hate it if it did not appear correctly to every user. Please take a screenshot when you next see the problem and email it to us as at support@synthasite.com. This will be really helpful in terms of debugging the problem.

Hi Stuart

Thank you for posting your problem here. I hope we will get more people to help us look into it!

I just had a look at your site on my 8 year old PC on a slow internet line. I checked in Internet Explorer and Firefox and I can't replicate the problem you describe. I am sorry. I know this must be frustrating to you, and I really wish I could see the problem. I have looked at your site a number of times since your first support query and have asked others to do the same and they all get a consistent result.

Please, if anyone reads this thread, visit www.condor.info and let us know if you see any problems with the layout.

Hi Monique
Did you get the screen shots I sent?, they were from a computer I used at work to look at my site. Can you see the problem I describe?
Other people I know have also commented about it. Please keep checking when ever you can. People try and sneak up on it when it least expects you to look.
Also its Codnor not condor www.codnor.info. Im a bit reluctant to continue building the site with this glitch unsolved.
Yours bewilded.

To be quite honest, I am painfully embarrassed at this point. I did not receive your emails. Our turnaround time on emails is usually very fast, so I was surprised when you said you had sent two. I searched our helpdesk software using ssaint@hsrowe.co.uk and came up empty! Please could you resend them for me when you get to work again?

I believe you that the problem is occurring and I am committed to getting to the bottom of it! In fact I have decided set my alarm for 2:00am, put a black mask on, get my flashlight and sneak up on your website and see if I can catch it without its clothes on! I shall not be outsmarted by this wily bug, so help me!

Just so you know, I got my husband to take a look on his PC - it worked fine for him as well!

Can you think of anything the people who have seen the problem might have in common? Browser? Operating system? Network connection?

I remember a problem like this some time back when I used SynthaSite at an academic institution. They use Websense, an internet filtering system that blocks access to certain sites. The pages were only loading as white pages with text: no template. When the system administrator turned off Websense the pages displayed correctly. Do you perhaps have anything of this nature in your network environment?

Hi Stuart

Brent has informed me that a fix for this bug has been deployed. In order to get your site to display properly you should log out if you are in SynthaSite and login again. Opening any site will cause it to be updated. You can then simply republish your site.

The developers have asked that if this anyone still encounters a problem that they please report it. We believe that the fix is successful, but we are asking for your assistance to confirm this.

You have had a really rough time with this bug so I am really hopful that everything is ok now!
