Hey. I'm trying to move my site over to Yola. I have the basic free version. My old site had css and html. I cannot figure out how to use css and html here. Can you only use it with Yola Silver or is there some way to use it with the basic version?

Hi Elyse,

Thanks for your question! You are certainly welcome to add HTML to your free Yola site. Custom CSS is a Silver level feature, that is available with an upgrade.

Here's how to add HTML to your site using the HTML Widget:

1. Drag and drop an HTML Widget from the sidebar on the right onto your page (the icon for this is a blue sphere).
2. An HTML editor will open up that will allow you to write or paste your code (use right-click > paste or Ctrl-V to paste).
3. When you are done, click "Save" and you will see the way that the HTML displays on your page

Here's how to add HTML to your site using the Text Widget:

1. To edit the HTML in a Text Widget, click the last icon on the text editing toolbar (HTML).
2. You can then edit the HTML.
3. When you are finished, click "OK" to return to editing text with the Yola text editor.

Yola Silver includes many other fantastic features beyond the Custom CSS, here is a brief run down:

* A credit for a custom domain name so that you can own your own piece of the web (value $34.95 / year). Available extensions: .com, .net, .biz and .org
* Private registration for your custom domain name (optional - value $9.95 / year).
* Unlimited access to our Premium Style library to help your website stand out!
* Premium support: includes 24/7 phone support as well as priority email support.
* Advanced Site Analytics available in your My Yola dashboard.
* Submenus (coming during March 2011).
* Yola Link Removal - the Yola link at the bottom of free styles removed from all your sites.
* Use domains purchased elsewhere and pointed to Yola to publish your site.
* Create up to 25 sites, get 5GB of storage per site, and upload files of up to 100MB.
* The ability to upload HTML and Javascript files.
* Plus some one-time bonuses:
o Advertising credits with Facebook (value $25) and Google AdWords (value $50).
