Hi Gemma

That does sound really frustrating :(

Can you tell me what happens when you try to paste into the widgets? What happens on the screen?

Something that you can do, is try to clear your browser's cache, log out of Yola, then log in again.

Please get back to us so we can help if the problem is still not resolved for you.

Hi Gemma, are you copying the code from one browser and then switching to another browser to paste it into Yola? Because when you do that it doesn't work for some very odd reason. I don't know why that happens but it does.

It is ALWAYS a good idea to paste ANY code into Notepad first then copy from there and paste to your site....I think non-windows operating systems have something similar that will clean code also......If you are creating a Twitter Button on Twitter's site make sure you are signed on to your account so your account url is picked up in the code.

But, whenever I paste a code into notepad is does not do ANYTHING. I mean, notepad is just for editing code but it doesn't correct it for me.

It cleans code it does not add to it.

But it doesn't even do that for me. I just paste it and it sits there.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for all your replies, I've tried all your suggestions- still doesn't seem to be working. I've tried getting one from widgetbox as well which also doesn't work. I'm copying the code and trying to paste it in, but when I right click in the html box I can't select paste- as if I haven't copied anything to start with!
Probably being a bit thick and doing something obviously wrong!

Hi Gemma,

I'm quite good with Twitter-y things so I may be able to assist.
First of all, what kind of Twitter button are you trying to implement? As there are a few different ones, it makes it hard to isolate the issue
.
If you are trying to implement an @Anywhere Follow button please see this info: http://dev.twitter.com/anywhere/begin...

Info about @Anywhere Login/Sign up buttons can be found here: http://dev.twitter.com/anywhere/begin...

Alternatively, are you trying to implement a 'Tweet' button found here: http://twitter.com/goodies/tweetbutton

Finally, are you trying to add one of these buttons to your site? https://twitter.com/goodies/buttons

Thanks

Hello Gemma

Hmm.. I'm wondering if you're using IE8? If so, the ability to use the right-click to paste does not work. Can you try using CTRL-v to paste your code?
