Hey Yola Users!

We have a new tutorial called My Site won't Load!
This tutorial explains why your site or page may not be loading in the Yola Site Builder. We will explain how you can make sure your content is added correctly so that your site loads and you're able to edit it.

The tutorial will also be available in the help menu in the SiteBuilder soon!!

We strongly recommend that all Yola Users have a look and read through the tutorial.

Special thanks needs to go to Littleus for suggesting this excellent tutorial.

Great job Kershnee! It is very easy to read and understand. I really hope that people take the opportunity to read this tutorial first before proceeding with their web-building. I believe it will help save a lot of frustration later on down the road.

Hi eme

Let's try to see what's going on with your site. Would you mind sharing your url with us so that we can take a closer look at what's happening?

In the meantime.. can you please try the following:

1. Clear your cache in your browser and then re-log back in.

2. Try entering your site using a different browser and/or computer

3. Make sure your cookies are enabled for Yola

Let us know what happens, okay?

Hi Ron

I am sorry that you are having trouble with this. It can be tricky to configure your DNS settings if your domain is managed elsewhere. Your domain is not currently pointing to Yola. It currently points to this IP address: 64.237.48.241. You need to configure your DNS settings to point to Yola's IP address: 208.75.208.172. You would do this using the DNS control panel in your domain registrar account. Once you have done this you will be able to publish your site.

For detailed instructions, see: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/publish...

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Ron,
Although we are not able to provide phone support, we work very hard to provide fast, personal service via our support channels here on Get Satisfaction and via email.

I have done some looking up on your domain and your registrar is fabulous.com, unfortunately I am not familiar with this registrar. I have taken a look at their support pages and was not able to find information on how to edit the A Record to have the site hosted elsewhere, I am not sure if it is possible.

Here is what I suggest you do. Write an email to their support staff as follows:

Dear. . .

I have built a site with Yola and I am hosting my site with them. However, I have purchased a domain through you and need you to provide me with domain name management. I need to use your name servers but set up an A record (address record) to point to: "208.75.208.172". Can you assist me with this or give me instructions on how to do it? They have asked me to establish whether you can provide this service for me or whether I need to look elsewhere.

Here is a link to their support pages, there is a link in the footer for contacting them: fabulous.com help.

Please let us know how they respond, and we can then offer you some further help on how to proceed.

Just looking at the tutorial..It says:

This is mainly caused by adding invalid HTML code to your page. When this happens the page is not editable and therefore does not allow you to correct the code. This situation is rather unfortunate and your only option is to delete the page and recreate it. Invalid HTML causes very similar problems to text pasted directly from MS Word.

What if the invalid code is on the index page? Since you can't delete it.

Hi Connor,

It is possible to delete the current index page with its content. A blank index page is generated in its place.

An 'index' page is always required for your Yola Site. When you click on "delete page" a blank 'index' page is created in its place.
