How can I add the twitter widgets to my site? The HTML widget doesn't seem to do anything with the portion of the code.

Hello Cross and Dot

Did you know that there are widgets for Twitter in your Yola Sitebuilder?
Or do you mean by Twitter feed a box which shows your latest tweets of your Twitter account?

If so, can you please post the code here? Paste your code in between < pre > < code > and < / code > < / pre >, leaving out any blank spaces which I needed to add here for visibility reasons. Where did you get the code from, directly from Twitter?

Dear mr. Wagner,

Thank you for your reply.

What I need is a box that shows the latest tweets on my site. Hence, 'feed'.

I copy you the code I got from Twitter at https://twitter.com/settings/widgets.

<a class="twitter-timeline" data-dnt=true href="https://twitter.com/CrossNDot" data-widget-id="295126582899638272">Tweets by @CrossNDot</a>
<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>

I have copied the code above (including
) into a html widget on my site and noted that it didn't work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

With kind regards,

Hello Maarten

I've compared your code with code of one of my own websites where I embedded a Twitter timeline, and I couldn't find any big difference. The only thing I could think of is that the domain name you provided in your Twitter account wasn't correct. Did you make sure to add your correct domain name when you set up your widget with Twitter? You may need to add your domain name with and without www (no http, that's the way I did it for mine). It will only work with a published website under this domain.

If you post your domain here, I can check in your Yola account directly.

Dear Stefan,

I have just changed my site, the new widget is on the Contact Us subpage. Feel free to change it if you want.

Although I have listed yola.com, www.yola.com and crossanddot.yola.com as domains, it still doesn't work.

With kind regards,

Hello Maarten

Providing the domains from yola, such as yola.com, with your Twitter Widget won't work because you don't own these domains, and your website is not on yola.com. Your website must be published to a yolasite subdomain or to your own custom domain name.

In your Yola account I can see that you have published your site to a yolasite.com domain. Please go to Twitter to change your widget settings, and add your correct domain name with and without "www". Copy and paste the code to the HTML Widget on your Yola website, republish, clear your cache and cookies, and check after 5 minutes if your Twitter Feed is displayed.
