Hi Ruhan

This is a bit experimental but I have something you could try. Here is a site that might have what you need: http://tweetmeme.com/

They provide HTML embed code for a retweet button.

To add it to your blog:

1) Copy the code
2) When you are editing a post, click the "HTML" button at the end of the text editing toolbar and paste the code.

Preview your page to test the button. Let us know how it works out!

NOPE! Just kicks out the code. Isn`t it because it is JavaScript? And if so is there another way to do this?

It`s not what I want. I want a retweet button on each blog post. Nothing to do widgets or widgetbox. An example of this is here: /http://www.twitip.com

Hi Ruhan,

I can get it to work on the blog page but not on individual blogs. As you say it chucks out the code :(

If you want it inside each blogpost, instead of just on the page, it looks like we will have to treat this as a feature request as it seems that this code snippet is not currently supported by the blogpost HTML editor.

Sorry we don't have a perfect solution for you right now.

It`s fine. But thanks for your quick and helpful response. Please look at this because Twitter plays a big role for blog traffic and allot more people will want to use this in the future.

I have made the request and I will start promoting this idea with our developers. I agree that Twitter is a very useful tool and if there is a way we could integrate this it would be a great help to many people.

Yes it would! We want to promote the use of Twitter for our users to drive traffic to their site. Incidentally you can follow us on Twitter, @yolaweb. If you aren't already then please do! Twitter is a great way to share updates or get quick answers to your questions.

Hi John,

I really want to be :(

It's a bit confusing in Thailand as you can't simply add your cellphone number and away it goes. You have to go through a process of contacting the UK for approval, even though it's a Thai simcard. The other thing is I simply can't find out what the costs for the texts are. Today no-one could tell me if the text rate is that for an overseas message or a local message cost. There appears to be a Thailand expats twitter forum, so after Songkran I will make contact and see what the information is.

My Twitter ID is "crewcaptain"

It looks as if twitter is also an SEO advantage. (?)

You know I just looked at the link John posted.........................

The permutations and combinations make Yola look like a kindergarten, it almost freaked me out. How can such a simple, simple concept blow out so amazingly?? I really am stunned by this. How can such a little bird be so energetic?

Hello AmyP

Here are the steps for adding a retweet button to a webpage (not a blog):

1. Go to this link Tweetmeme Help and copy the first block of code, "The Code".
2. Drag an HTML Widget onto your page and paste in the code.
3. Save and Update your site.

Here are the steps for adding a retweet button to your blog posts:

1. Go to this link Tweetmeme Help and copy the first block of code "The Code".
2. Click on the "Blog Manager" button.
3. Click on the "Settings" tab.
4. Paste the code before your commenting code, if you have all ready added this.
5. Save and Update your site.

**Note:** If you view your webpage/blog posts in Preview mode the retweet button will not display properly, it will show a "?". When you republish (Update) your site and view the published page the retweet button will then show properly.

Also keep in mind that until the page/blog post has been tweeted once, the button will say "tweet" and not "retweet". Once the page has been tweeted once, the button will change to say "retweet" and will display the current number of tweets.

Thank you for your help. I have already added the retweet button. Is there any possible way to put the retweet button at the top of the blog post and the comment box at the bottom. I don't think there is but thought I would ask anyway. Thanks!

Hello AmyP

I'm glad that you were able to add the retweet button. Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a way to have the comment box and the retweet separate. The only option is to add the retweet code through an HTML widget but this will just make one occurrence of it on your blog page instead of having one for each of your blog post.
