Two questions about Blogging

I deleted all HTML with the JS-Kit code.
I'm thinking about making comments through IntenseDebate.

When I do so, can I both program the comments of my blog to be IntenseDebate? And: Will I be given a code to put in HTML widgets, so that I can have comment widgets in non-blog pages?

Hello TiagoJ7

You are given a code - if it's for your blog, you place it in the blog manager settings. If it's for your non-blog pages, then you paste the code in your HTML widget.

Here is the general process:
1. Go to IntenseDebate.com and click on "Sign Up".
2. Fill out your information.
3. Select the 2nd radio button for "I want to install Intense Debate on my blog or website" and click on "Sign Up".
4. Enter your site's URL in the box provided and then click "Next Step".
5. Select Generic Install.
6. For a basic comment box, copy the code provided in the #1 box.
7. If you want to display a link with the current comment count, e.g. Comments (7), then copy the code provided in the 2nd box.
8. Go to your Yola site builder, drag and drop an HTML widget onto your content area.
9. Paste the code into the HTML widget (Ctrl-V) and click on "OK". Republish your site by clicking on "Update my Site".
10. The comments will be tracked automatically by IntenseDebate and be tied to your URL.
11. To view IntenseDebate's FAQ, click on this link.

There's just one problem. I signed up to IntenseDebate with my OpenID. Somehow, I skipped the third step.

I have my own Dashboard on IntenseDebate now. I can put my site's URL whenever I'm ready. I hope this is a good thing.

I have another question.
After my site is published, how do I add new posts to my blog? I think I'm gonna need to log in to my site. Or do I just need to enter the site builder, make a post and publish the site again?

Hi TiagoJ7 - after your site is published, login to your account on Yola, open your site in the site builder. Then navigate to your blog page and click on the "New Post" button. After adding a new post to your blog, remember to click on "Update my Site" to update your published website.

I hope that helps!

The "Update my Site" button appears instead of the "Publish my Site" one?

And to manage the posts on my pages and the blog, I use my IntenseDebate account?

Hello,
The Update Site button replaces the Publish Site button once the site is published. So when you make any changes to your site in the Site Builder you click Update Site to apply the changes to your published site. And yes, you can manage your posts in your Intense Debate account. Here is a link to their help section: Intense Debate Help, there is a section on Comments. Hope this helps!
