Hello, I am unable to access the Online commerce store. No matter what I try to access (products, categories, advanced options etc), i get stuck on the "loading Yola online store" screen. Thank you

Hello rofasia,

I think this is back up again now. have a look again and hopefully you will be able to edit your store detail.

Hi both, thank you and sorry for delay. I managed to get into the edits through ECWID. Am now back in Yola store but all product descriptions have been converted to HTML code, sample:
<!--StartFragment-->

This Bamboo Bowl is lower with a height of 3" and a 9 ¾" diametre. Great for rice or pasta dishes as well as salads

Weight:  12oz

<!--EndFragment-->

<!--EndFragment-->

Checked on ECWID and all is good there - must be a translation issue between ECWID and YOLA. for the moment will stick with Ecwid for updates etc but something is going on here... Klaus

Descriptions will be converted to HTML The editor however allows you to toggle between HTML editing and simple text. The button for this is in the Description module. There really isn't any other place that allows for HTML mods. I don't know why it's displaying as HTML though. Suspect there is some code affecting the descriptions??

If you let me know your site and a specific product I can check out what is going on from here.

Gop.

Hi Klaus,

have you copied and pasted some MS word or similar from another source into your Descriptions?

This will cause problems because of the rtf format of such and it has unpredictable effects in all web-building. rtf is incompatible with builder HTML.

You need to copy the text into a plain text processor to strip out that code then paste that into your descriptions.

Thanks Gop - efficient as usual. The store is www.rofasia.com and the product in the screenshot is the Red Bamboo Bowl Red. I have investigated a bit more, here is a recap of the current issues
- Can not edit Yola store in Safari/IMac
- Can edit Yola store in IE
- Can edit ecwid store in all browsers
- Some items descriptions were changed to HTML in Yola only - not in ecwid. No impact on product descriptions on the web store. All items were manually entered, not copied from word processor etc. I will change them back to text format only.

I am a pretty advanced technical user so more amused than annoyed at the moment - as long as nothing else breaks and customers are not impacted.

Forgot to mention, I cleared the cache and reset Safari multiple times, without resolving the issue.

Thanks Klaus,

I can see that you have a good knowledge, sorry if I was too basic on this stuff.

So you have two stores then; a Yola and a native Ecwid? ditto. I don't have a mac :(

The interesting thing is that the whole of the Ecwid store is on Ecwid's servers. It is only piped in through a widget into Yola and there's no inventory data stored in Yola. If you examine the Ecwid native product you can see the outline of how it's implemented but with a few changes in the Yola implementation that remove some aspects of the store. As users we can't get to the interface.

There is some stuff left over from MS Office in your description and I don't know how this is affecting things but susect that this may be associated with the Safri issue:

<p class="MsoNormal">
This large Bamboo Bowl is painted red outside and is &nbsp;natural&nbsp;
<o:p></o:p>
inside. It is ideal to serve a big fresh summer salad!&nbsp;
</p>

The MsoNormal is appearing as a class for each line of text. ?
