unable to edit my site

when I login i have no way of getting to my part finished web site,

What can I do??

Hello Trevor, 

 

I'm not sure I understand. You are able to login but you're not able to see your site in your My Yola page to edit this? Or is your Sitebuilder not able to load up? Any further information you can share will help us troubleshoot the issue.

When I login I have site loading and loading status showing, so I believe it is the site builder not loading..

Hi Trevor,
Thanks for providing us with that information. Could you do the following for me, please and see if this helps the issue at hand:

1. Clear your browser's cache. This link has more information: Clear your browser's cache.

2. Check your privacy settings. You must accept cookies from Yola. Please click on this link to find instructions for accepting cookies with your browser: Accept cookies.

3. Try loading the site in a different browser (eg. Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer). We would suggest using the Firefox browser as this browser seems to work best in the Yola environment. It is a free download if you would like to give it a try: Download Firefox.

4. Please check to see that you have the latest version of Flash installed, for more information please click here: Version Test for Adobe Flash Player.

5. Try loading the site on a different computer or network if possible.

Please give these suggestions a try and let us know if it helps.

I have done all the above and still I am having the same problem.. I have even tried it on a different PC and the problem is the same the site builder will not load.

Thank you for going through the troubleshooting steps. Please share the domain of your site. With your permission, we will gladly test opening your site in the sitebuilder on our end. This will help us to determine whether this error is within your actual site or with your network.

Additional information, it will allow me to create another site but not the one a started several days ago, I can not access it and edit it in any way. It also wont allow me to set up my email for that address either, its like I have been block.. lol

Hi Trevor,

I have tested opening your Sitebuilder, and can see that you have created one site for the domain, www.gtautotech.co.uk, call GT Autotech. Is this correct? If this is incorrect, is it possible that you have another Yola account within which you have created other sites?

Could you also let me know what type of problem you're experiencing with creating email? I can see you have signed up for the GBBO package. This means you are entitled to a free email address, via Google Apps. Are you having problems signing up for this?

Hi

This is correct its GT Autotech, its just hanging there and not allowing me to do anything, I also tried on a MAC and it does the same. With regards to the email I go to set it up and it does the same it just hangs there.

I just dont understand lol... it was working fine couple of days ago and now it just hangs. I did try to open any account, but it would let me, it did the same thing and just hanged. the account was put under trevor.flock@hotmail.com....

I am having a similar problem - I can get in my site but if I try to add any widget - it just hangs there. I have tried every browser, cleared cache and have the most current Adobe Flash. Was working last night - so seems something may be hung.

This is true of every widget ....selecting it and it just stops and spirals like it is loading ....but did for 8 minutes and then stopped.

Additional information, I have another account that I have tried to delete and it wont allow me. That is trevor.flock@hotmail.com as prevously mentioned.

Very similar, Im unable to see that screen you uploaded, it just hangs once I login the status is just constantly uploading....

Thanks for providing those additional details. This is very strange, as I am unable to replicate the problem you are having with the Sitebuilder.

Trevor, could you let us know which browser version you are using? If possible, I can suggest trying a different browser. You mentioned that you are having a problem deleting your account trevor.flock@hotmail.com. What type of errors are you receiving?

Karen, you mentioned that you have tried different browsers - could you let us know which ones you tried as I would like to see if I can replicate this problem using one of the browsers you used.

Hi

I have tried IE version 8 and 7 and also firefox the latest version. I have also tried it in mac and still have the same problem with it hanging.

I dont get any erroros when trying to delete trevor.flock@hotmail.com account, I click to delete the account and it just stays on the same page and does not move. the samething happens when I try to create the email address from GT Autotech, I click on the link and knowthing happens..

Hello Trevor, Smithy and Karen,

I understand this is quite frustrating and we are looking into the problem. As of right now you three are the only ones to have reported this, however when three people are having the same problem we see it as a pattern and begin investigating.

The problem we are having is that we cannot replicate what you are seeing, when we go into your accounts your My Yola pages and Sitebuilders load perfectly for us. It's hard for us to troubleshoot something when we cannot reproduce the problem, but we are trying our best to gather information and figure it out.

Can you let me know if you have tried to access your account from a computer on a different network? Also, I see that you all have tried some various browsers, does the same thing happen no matter what browser you try and have you all tried clearing your browser's cookies, not just the cache?

I have tried this from 3 computers and the same thing. It is every widget ....it will just say opening and never does.....I actually left one and went to store and still was doing it.

I have cleared all cache on every browser.....IE9, Chrome (latest), and FireFox and the same thing. Whether I select text or html or ecommerce widget - it just does the same thing.

Doesn't matter what computer I use - I get the same thing and cannot modify my site. This is very frustrating as a whole day has gone by and it doesn't look like we are any closer to finding out what it is.

Might the three of us be on the same server of something. This is pretty major, as I took down my firewall and everything to see if anything is affected. I am on a major cable network - so I cannot go to another network - it serves this entire area. It has not been a problem until today.

I have rebooted machines (3) , used different browsers, cleaned the cache and I still cannot load any widget. It allows me to pull up the site - I can publish it - can change text, but cannot add any widget to the site.

I did notice last night there was a sitebuilder update that I had to accept and then I logged off. From this time on - I have basically been down to add anything to my site.

I have just responded to your email that you sent to support. I believe I have resolved the issue for you. It was missing a closing div tag. I'm crossing my fingers that this did the trick for you!

I tried again this evening and no joy, to be honest I did managed to edit the page by leaving the browser open for an hour it finally loaded. I have tried again this evening and no joy, it wont load at all.

I'm getting a bit muddled on this thread. The issue that you have - it sounds like you're having trouble actually accessing your Sitebuilder? Based on what you've described above, I thought the issue was that you were not able to see your sites listed in your My Yola page. If the trouble is with your Sitebuilder not opening up, can you please share your URL so that we can investigate this further. Thanks.
