We are seeing some errors with a handful of domain registration attempts. Our engineers have contacted our upstream provider for more information. In the meantime you can try again and we will update you here when we know more. Thanks for your patience.

We've been working with our upstream provider on this issue. Can you please tell me if you have been able to try renewing again, and if so, was it successful?

These seem to be all .ca domains, at least so far.

Could it be that annual renewal is not required under our domain registration agreement in Canada with CIRA? (There appears to be no reference to an annual renewal of domain registration in my copy of the CIRA agreement).

Could someone with Yola please clarify?

Thank you all for the additional information you were able to provide. Tom, you were wise in spotting a trend. What we've learned is that all of the affected domains were registered through the Get Your Business Online program and we have not released renewal capability for the Get Your Business Online program yet. Renewal reminders were sent in error and have resulted in confusion, but happily there is still plenty of time to renew your domains. Once we have released domain renewals for the Get Your Business Online program, we will be sure to alert you here.

Thanks Gop, but I just wanted to clarify, these issues are unrelated. This thread is for Get Your Business Online members who are ready to renew but must wait for us to launch Get Your Business Online renewals.

The announcement I posted is for members whose domains did not register in their MyYola account due to a change Tucows made. For those members we are working with Tucows to release the domain so they can be re-registered.

I just wanted to update you all and assure you that we are very close to releasing the functionality for renewing your Get Your Business Online domains. We are in the process of testing it now and it will be released in plenty of time to renew your domains before their expiry dates. We appreciate your patience as we work to release this.

Can you please share your login e-mail (no password) or another domain of your account to which you published? This will enable us to track your Yola account in our system and check what's going on.

Are you having problems with renewing your domain or your hosting package?

Hi Tracy

I was able to get to the Payment screen when I tried to upgrade your account to Yola Silver. Can you please try our new upgrade function in your Yola Sitebuilder? You will find it in the lower menu bar on the left-hand side where it says "Account status: Bronze". Click on this, and then on the pink "Upgrade" button. Does this work for you?

If not, please come back to me, and I'll be happy to investigate further.

I'm excited that you're upgrading to Yola Silver, and hope that your website will be a great success!

Here's a tip on something I noticed about your website: Your image on the left-hand side of your home page has 3,5 MB which will cause your site slow to load. Visitors might immediately leave your site when loading takes too long. I have seen that you have the same image in a much smaller size in your File Manager, and would recommend you to replace it by this image. Just go to your page in the Yola Sitebuilder, click on "Edit" on the Picture Widget, and replace it by the smaller picture. You can also use our built-in feature Aviary to downsize your image, this option is also given in the Picture Widget Editing dialogue box.

Hello Tracy

This may be a browser caching issue. By now you should see the new features that we've recently added to the Yola Sitebuilder, such as your account status being viewed in the bottom left corner, and a box popping up when you hover over your "Publish to the Web" button in the top right corner.

Please log out of your Yola account and clear cache and cookies of your browser. Or try in a different browser that you haven't used for Yola before.

If none of these options works, please try on a different computer in a different internet network to check. I was able to see your new Yola Sitebuilder in your Yola account, so it should be working for you as well.
