When building my pages I have tried to use the 'undo' button but nothing seems to happen. Is this a bug?

Hello George,

The "indent-less" button in the text editing toolbar is no longer available. If you would like to remove the indenting that you've added to the page, you can do so by editing the HTML of the Text Widget:

  1. Click in the Text Widget and click on the HTML button on the text editing toolbar.

  2. In the HTML editor that opens, locate the indented text, it will look like:
    <p style="margin-left: 40px;">your text</p>

  3. Remove a section of the code so that it looks like:
    <p>your text</p>

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will be able to use this workaround.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hi George

Do you mean the actual "undo" button or the "indent-less" button that Emmy described above? If you mean the undo button, could you let me know what browser (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) and Operating System (Windows, Mac) that you are using? And, what are you trying to undo? Are you trying to undo the color, font style, or size that you changed the text to?

I hope that we can get this resolved.

Hi Nathan,

I am using IE9 and Windows Vista Home premium and my question related to the 'undo' button.

If I have inadvertantly deleted a picture or a quantity of text I had assumed that the undo button would, as in most packages, allow me to undo that action and return the picture or text to the page. I find however that clicking on the undo button has absoultely no effect. Clearly this isn't a major problem but I was intested to know if the undo button actually did anything?
Thanks for your reply and thanks too Emmy.

Kind regards,

George

Hi George

The undo button does do something, but not in IE. IE is a browser that doesn't support some stuff. I used to use IE a long time ago but then I figured out that it wasn't good for web designing (I think IE 9 is much better though than when I used IE) so I switched to Google Chrome - it took me a while to get used to it but now that I have been using it for a while I don't like using other browsers accept sometimes Firefox and Safari. When I used IE, the undo button didn't work for me too.

If you can, could you try using a different browser such as Firefox to see if it works? It works for me in Chrome.

Yola recommends Mozilla Firefox to get the best experience with Yola. I don't know if IE 9 is supported by Yola yet since it is still in Beta but if I use any IE I use IE 9 since it has CSS3 and HTML5. But I use Google Chrome and sometimes Safari and Firefox.

You could also try the undo button in these browsers:

Google Chrome

Safari

Please let me know if any of this works.

Thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,

Thanks very much for your prompt response...

I used Google Chrome as my browser and found that not only does the undo button work..... but the redo one too...
As I said it wasn't a particulalry drastic problem.. but ... when I find something doesn't work as I expect it to.... sort of ruffles my feathers a bit...lol.

Once again .. many thanks,

Regards,
George
