unexpected T_STRING

Hi there, Your last help was fantastic and the problem was solved. I can't work out how to get to wherever I posed my first question- ah well. Please tell Ed I said thanks.

I posted my site successfully, but noticed two typos, so thought I'd learn how to edit single files using FileZilla. The first file was easy. Edited it easily, uploaded it no problems, was feeling pretty cool! I did exactly the same thing on the second file, uploaded it, and received this message "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/greenst/public_html/definitions/creativity/page.inc.php on line 305". I was still feeling confident- if "d somehow screwed up the html, I figured I go back into synthasite, downloaded the site again, assuming the file would be fine as it worked first time. Did all that, used FileZilla again to upload the file- But no such luck. When I uploaded the fresh, unedited file, I got the same message.

Thanks Leogirl

Hi leogirl

It is always harder to help when you are hosting your site elsewhere, as we do not have access to your hosting environment.

Could you start by publishing your site from inside the SynthaSite site builder (use a free subdomain - you can always unpublish it again if you wish.) Let me know if you can successfully publish your site to our servers. Once we know if everything is in order with your site we can take it from there. It may be that you will need to contact your hosting service for support.

Hi leogirl - it looks like it would be problems with your webhost. You can either contact them to help you with the problem, or change your hosting to us. You can get more info on this thread: http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...
