Hello killianisalive
I'm sorry to hear that you're having some troubles. It could be possible that your zip files contains other files besides HTML and .js files that are restricted. Do you recall if there are any .exe files?

.exe is a restricted file. Can you let me know what other file extensions might be in the other zipped folder?

There are a lot of files including .html, .js, .css, .doc and .exe

Okay.. so it seems that you have an .exe file in that zipped folder. So, this explains why you are not able to unzip your folder. What you could do is unzip your folder on your desktop - remove the .exe file and then upload the rest of them. You will need to host your .exe file on a file hosting site and then link to it.

OK but what about my other zip folder that doesn't have a .exe in it

Does the other zip folder have other types of files in it? Please can you list off the file extensions in that particular folder?

Sorry the reply comment button isn't working. So I started again!
It has .swf, .js, .html and .xml files. I have already unzipped another with similar contents.
I also removed the .exe file from the other but still can't unzip. Anyway you can access and analyse these folders?

Hello Kiliansalive,
Do you mind if I go into your Sitebuilder and gave this a try? Please let me know where I can find these zipped folders.

Hi Sanja,
We're in different timezones! I have been in bed thus the late response, hope you are well.
Please check these out in sitebuilder
resources/projects
I need these for a portfolio for a possible job within 24 hours, so I'm under pressure here!
Thanks,
Killian

Hi killianisalive
Sanja is currently offline, but hopefully we will be able to assist you with this problem. Thank you for posting the links to your files.
We are investigating why the files are not opening in your File Manager. It looks like the files you want to add is another website. Is this what you are trying to do?

Hey Nazlie,
Thanks for getting back to me. These files behave like a website. The curious thing is that I have already successfully unzipped 2 of them while the remaining two are disallowed from unzipping.

Hello killiansalive,
Thanks for your patience. I, along with a couple people have been trying to understand why your folders are not unzipping. As explained before, one of your zipped folder does have a restricted file type which may explain why you're not able to open it. However, we believe there is also another underlying factor.
You see, I have tried with my own zipped folder and did not encounter any issues. We believe it may be type of zipped folder you have. Can you try unzipping all your folders on your desktop and rezipping it - you may want to try using a different zip program.

Hey!
I just tried this. Which of zips contains a restricted file type? It is fineos2.zip? I have tried WinZip rather than the native Windows zip utility to create Solvency4.zip and I still can't unzip it!

I've just downloaded and unzipped solvency4.zip onto my Mac. I rezipped it as solvency5.zip but can't unzip it in Yola. So using native Windows and Mac zipping doesn't seem to work.

Hi killiansalive,
The fineos2.zip is the one that contains the restricted file. I am at a loss at to why this is occurring. The only other thing I can suggest is to unzip the folder on your desktop, then manually add each file to your File Manager or a small collection of files at one time to your File Manager.

Good idea. I tried that but it seems that I have a limit of 25 files that I can do this with, after which I'm told I have reached my limit.

You should not have a limit of files that you can upload? Perhaps after uploading your files. you can try clearing the cache in your browser?

I cleared my cache on my Mac and I got the message. I tried on my PC and got the same. Help!

It seems as though my account is not behaving like a silver one i.e prevents unzipping of files with certain extensions and now limits on what I can upload!

I was able to upload 43 files into your File Manager when I testing this earlier. I wonder if you have a restriction with your ISP? Can you try using a different ISP to see if that makes any difference?

I don't know how realistic that option is. The message is coming from your server. Can I send you a screenshot of the message?

Hello killianisalive,
Sanja is not currently online, but I think what she is suggesting is that you try from another computer on another network which will point out where the problem is localized to. If Sanja was able to do an upload of 43 files, then it means it is working from her computer in your Sitebuilder. Are you able to give this a try? You can surely send us an error message you are receiving.

Hi Emmy,
Not today. Maybe tomorrow. That my ISP is causing the problem seems unlikely. If that were the case I wouldn't be able to upload to any other site which is not the case. I have successfully uploaded the same files to GoogleDocs with no issue. The error message is definitely from your system. (I can send a screenshot if that helps). It seems that actions from my IP address to the Yola site are being construed as not those of a Silver member. The limit on file uploads and inability to unzip those folders with files with certain extensions like .js and .html support this argument.
While we figure this out. Would it be possible for somebody at Yola to unzip the folders for me?
All the best,
K

By the way I just deleted all files and folders from one of the cases in question and now I'm allowed to upload files again (up to a limit of 25 in one go, at which point further uploads are prohibited).

Incidentally the File widget as opposed to the File Manager doesn't impose this limit. I have been trying this.

Thanks for sharing this, teaanoranges.
Please keep us informed if testing from a different computer and network eliminates the errors you are seeing.

Hi Brianna,
I will test from another network today hopefully. In the meantime while we figure this out would it be possible for somebody at Yola to unzip the folders for me?
These items are a for a portfolio of work which is already 2 days late!
Thanks

I am having a problem locating your website address in this thread - could you provide it to me so I can try unzipping your folders for you?

Hello,
I just gave this a try with the folders and they are not unzipping as I am getting that there is a restricted file type in there. I am not sure if this is due to the xml files or something else, but will need to check in with our engineering team and find out why the unzip is not working as we have exhausted our ideas for how to make this work. Apologies for the wait on this.

Strangely I have unzipped similar folders previously. I think Sanja recently reported that she had managed to unzip such folders. In any case perhaps it would be useful for the engineering team to look at this.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The problem has been solved. Today I had access to the raw files that are in the zip folders. While they look identical there must have been something inherently wrong with the files I was previously trying to unzip.
Thanks!
Thanks!
