Updates come and go

I made some changes on my website earlier. It took a long time to show up on the live site after I published. Now sometimes the updates are there and sometime the pages before the updates on the live site. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something I need to do to fix it? This happens on both my laptop and desktop computer. The changes are still on the editing page.

Hello Kathy

Are you viewing your websites on the same network or ISP or are they are different internet connections? Can you point out where on your website you have recently made the changes that are not showing up so that we can investigate the problem in more detail?

They would be the same. The additions I made are on the Web Links and Research pages of the Roosevelt Library Website.

The address is http://rooseveltlibrary.yolasite.com/ . I did click publish a second time when it took so long to show up on the web but I wouldn't think that would be causing the updates to come and go

Thanks for the additional information, Kathy. Are the changes still not showing up? You may need to clear the cache in the browsers you are using, as an outdated version of the site might be showing up for you. To do this, please follow the steps in this link: clearing cache.

If the problem persists, please point to specific changes you made on these pages and we can investigate the problem on our side.

Thank you
Nazlie

I cleared the cache earlier on both computers and just cleared it again. The changes still do not show up -- just every once in awhile. The changes on the web links page are below the picture -- English Websites and below in the first column and Web 2.0 websites and below in the second column. I also added Roosevelt in front of Library Wiki in the first column. The three websites and descriptions were added on the research page. The paragraph at the top and the web evaluation link at the bottom were already there. ~Kathy

I've noticed this today, too. The changes eventually appear, but it takes a few minutes for me, which usually isn't the case. The updates mostly appear immediately after publishing. I also though cache may be the problem, but I even tried in another browser that had no history of my site and it still failed to display updates.

A few minutes isn't long, but it does get tedious when I publish a small change and visit my site to try see what it looks like in a full window and end up waiting a while for it to show up.

Brandon, thank you for contributing on this thread. Is this problem still happening for you or are you seeing the changes more or less immediately? If so, I can notify one of our engineers.

Please let me know.

Hi Kathy

Thanks for the details. I have checked your site and the changes are showing up for me. Here is a screen shot of your Web Links page:

If you are seeing the problem intermittently, it could be a caching issue on your network on ISP. If at all possible, please try to view your changes on a different network to see if it is reflected there.

Please let us know if the problem persists.
