Many users have asked to purchase their own custom domain (such as Example.com) after they've already published their site to a subdomain. We've taken your feedback into account and have now made that easier for you.
You can now purchase a domain after you've already published to a subdomain - your old address (such as example.synthasite.com) will automatically redirect to your new address (www.example.com). This way, you won't lose the value of any links or visitors that only know your old location and they'll see your new domain.
You'll see the option to upgrade to a custom domain after you update your site. If you purchase one from here, we'll take care of all of the setup.

Yes, this is possible! Once you have configured your domain settings, you can add it as follows:
1) Click on the drop down arrow next to the "Update My Site" button.
2) Select "Publishing Settings"
3) Click the "Add A Domain You Own" button and follow the prompts to publish your site.
Once you have done this your subdomain will still be your primary domain. However you can easily set your new domain to be primary. Here is a tutorial with the steps that show you how to access your DNS control panel and select your primary domain: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/dns-for...
