I want to create an upload field, wherein the resume can be uploaded in word format and mailed to my email when the submit button is clicked. but it is not working. every time i m trying to do that, outlook opens. can you provide me with a solution (preferrably without scripts). If scripts are to be used, please guide how to do the scripting. reply asap.

Hi Manu Singh,

Yola's Form Widget does not currently have a feature enabling people to submit files to you. What I can suggest is a form builder such as Wufoo, which is integrated into the Yola Sitebuilder, and does offer this option, although this is not a feature of their free option. Here is a link to Wufoo's website if you would like to check their service out: Wufoo.

If you decide to use Wufoo, they offer both free and paid options, so you can select the option that is right for you, although if you are wanting to have your site visitor submit a file you will need to choose one of the paid options. When someone fills in your form their message will be stored in your Wufoo account and you will receive an email alert to let you know that you have a new message.

You will find the Wufoo widget in the "Forms & Appointments" folder in the Sidebar on the right of your Sitebulder. After dragging and dropping the Wufoo widget onto your page in Yola, click through to their site from the dialog box. Sign up for an account if you have not already done so and follow the steps below on Wufoo:

1. Select the form you wish to use.
2. Click on "Save form".
3. The form manager will open up.
4. Click on "Notifications" - enter your details as to where you wish the info to get sent to (ie. your email address).
5. Click on "Save".
6. Click on "Save settings"
7. Click on "Code"
8. Copy the code and then and paste it into the Wufoo widget dialog box in Yola.

Your Wufoo form will then be embedded on your page and you can begin collecting information from your visitors directly from your website.

Alternatively, Jotform http://www.jotform.com/ offer an upload service for free but you are restricted to 100mb per month upload. I used to use Wufoo but changed because of the free upload and the fact that Jotform is far more customizable.
