Hi Paul,

As a user and nothing whatsoever to do with Yola but reasonably experienced with the Ecwid Store that is used by Yola, I'm unaware that a customer can upload a file to you through the Yola Online Store. You can however make a file available for their download if that's what you mean?

If so there are two possible options.

1. You sell a file and it should be accessible only for the customer who purchased it. (e-books, photos, music and other e-goods)

Use the "Files" tab on the product details page to upload a file. The customer will get a link to it as soon as his/her order's status get Accepted or Chargeable status. More information about this feature below under E-Goods

2. A file should be accessible for all. (For example instructions for product)

upload your file to any hosting. if you don't have one, you can use Dropbox: it's free
add a link to this file to your product's description using HTML editor.

How E-Goods work
Customers can add digital products to their carts and go to checkout in the same manner as if it were ordinary products. After the order, containing such a product, has been processed, Ecwid sends an email notification with the download link to the customer. Also the customer can download the product from the order details.

Ecwid will send a notification with the download link only when the order gets Accepted or Chargeable payment status.

If I have misunderstood your question then apologies but happy to pursue this further.

If you mean that someone has sent you an image for a product for your Online Store then I suggest that you make a folder in your File Manager and call it "online-store-products"

Then to upload that image to your store you then insert the image URL into the appropriate box and the Ecwid store facility will collect this and upload it into your corresponding store file. The address in this example in a would be "mydomain.com/resources/online-store-product/image.jpg". If this is your query and you would like further specific info then please leave your web address and someone will be able to give you the specific URL to paste into the image file upload box.
