Where's the old text widget gone?  I need it asap in order to make an update to my website.

If anyone can help asap I would be incredibly grateful.  I have a publisher waiting on a page being added and I the 'new' text widget doesn't allow me the capabilities of the old one.

Yola - please please please say you haven't removed it.  This would cause huge problems for me and my site if you have.

Please advise asap.

Thank you

Chris

I can't see anything in the Yola Blog about any such problems on this.  I've just tried using the new text widget and it can't do the things I need it to in order for me to make any further updates and additions (which my site's existence relies on).

Getting really worried now.  Please can someone from Yola look into this for me and provide some idea of when the widget is likely to reappear.  If its likely to be gone for over 24hrs then I need to start informing the various publishers etc who are waiting on my reviews appearing.

Seriously concerned now.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind regards,

Chris

I need to get a new page added to my website asap.  The launch of the book that my site will be promoting is getting closer by the hour.  Please can someone from Yola give me an idea of when the old style (more flexible and user-friendly) text widget will appear back on the Yola editor.

Major issues I'm encountering are:

(1)  The new text widget does not accommodate the same line spacing as is across the rest of my site.

(2)  The new text does not have standard colours to quickly and easily choose to ensure consistency across my entire site (you need to work out the specific code, and then keep copying and pasting it into the space under the colour wheel – this is not an improvement but a major hindrance for anyone who has a website that require consistency in text).

(3)  The new text editor does not allow you to change the font size to be consistent with the rest of your site if it was built pre-the new text widget.

(4)  The new text editor does not allow you to quickly and easily change the font.

Yola must understand that some of their users have large and complex websites that have been built a number of years ago.  In order to maintain a professional consistency Yola cannot simply remove basic text editing to be replaced by a newer tool that does not allow such consistency for such websites.

At a rough guess I’d say that my website has close to 1000 pages, all with the same text style and format.  I regularly add new pages to my site (a new page around twice a week) and need to quickly and easily keep to the exact same text style and look.  Yola has always allowed this.

Please can someone from Yola get back to me asap on when the old text widget will be available again.  If it will be after the launch of the book I am assisting with promoting, then I need to inform the publishers asap that I will now be unable to meet their timeframe due to technical issues outside of my control.

I look forward to hearing some good news on this matter.

All the best,

Chris

For the avoidance of doubt, I need the following functions brought back asap:

(1) Standard colour chart to quickly & easily pick exact colours that have been used across my website:

(2) Easy to access standard fonts which I can quickly choose to keep consistency in text:

(3) Easy to access standard font sizes, again which I can quickly choose to keep consistency in text:

Please respond asap.  As you can tell from my posts, the removal of this basic text widget has had a dramatic impact on my website.  Without it, I cannot see how I can continue with Yola.

Kind regards,

Chris

Laura - that's excellent news.  I've just logged out and come back in and I can see the text editor's back again.  Thank you so much.  Panic over!!!!!!!

I really thought you guys have gotten rid of it.

Thank you again.  I was already stressed enough trying to meet the publishers deadline - hence the panic when I couldn't find the old style text editor.  Phew - I think a beer or two are is in order.

Sorry for the panic, it was definitely not intentional Chris. Glad you are back where you need to be!
