Hi worldlad,

Domain privacy is included with Yola Silver, but if you registered your domain prior to your Silver upgrade and did not purchase domain privacy separately this would explain why it was not set up with privacy enabled.

The account associated with your email is a Yola Free account and does not have a custom domain associated with it. For me to investigate further, please reply with the custom domain that you believe should have privacy enabled. If you are not comfortable posting your URL to our forum, please email support@yola.com with the information.

Thanks! I have enabled domain privacy for jackpotchat.com. Please note it can take some time for these changes to be reflected in the WHOIS database.

Hello donatetohelp,

Thanks for your patience while the Yola Support has been off for the Christmas holidays.

As a general rule, .co.uk domains are not able to have privacy on their domain, this is administered by Nominet (the .co.uk domain registrar) and something that is beyond Yola's control.

Nominet has advised that they appreciate that some individuals are concerned about having their personal address published on WHOIS, and have responded to these concerns by providing non-trading individuals with an opportunity to opt out of having their domain registration details displayed on WHOIS.

However, the Google GBBO offer is available to help British businesses get online. As stated in the Terms and Conditions, the free .co.uk domain should only be redeemed if it is going to be used for business purposes. This means that it is not possible to enable domain privacy for your co.uk domain.

you have to go for private registration for preventing your details being displayed in WHOIS

Halo worldlad,
To make your information not seen in Whois Search you need to register your domain in private (i:e) Private registration. You can contact the domain provider and require for private registration. After that you can check whether the registration is private with the help of http://www.whoisxy.com/
