Sometimes when you add a code/script to your site and it breaks the footer or another part of your page you can still use that code if you lock it in a cell to keep it from interacting with the other codes on your pages.

Using a two column widget acts like a jail cell with certain troublesome codes from interacting with others on your page and effectively allows you to use the bad code without it breaking your page.

1) Delete the HTML widget with the troublesome code and republish your site.
2) Refresh your site builder.
3) Drag a two column widget onto your page
4) Drag an HTML widget onto the right or left side of the two column widget from step 3 then paste your troublesome code in the editor.
5) Republish your site again or view the preview of it.

A two column widget serves many purposes... ;) A code jail is yet another of them...

It works probably 90% of the time for me but is dependent on your problem.

Happy site building
