Use the Yola login system for membership

Hi, I have an idea what you guys could do for a little bit until you come up with the real membership. You could set it up where when they sign up on your website they are really signing up on Yola and they can just login to our websites through those logins. Would that work? That is how that other website builder does it (webs). So whenever a user of one of our sites signs up on our website, really they're being added to Yola's main data/user base and they could all be users of Yola, but, they would just use those login details to login on our websites.

Sincerely,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for the idea - we will pass it on to our development team. This feature isn't on our roadmap in the very near future, even though we know it is an often-requested feature. What we are interested in hearing is what you would like to use it for? When people create accounts on your site, what would you like them to be able to do?

Well, I am going to be creating another site on my account and I want people to have to log in to the website to get some of the codes and some of the other features. I built a test site with webs to see how their members thing works, and here is the URL:

Also, the Webs ID thing has an Inbox system where the members on the sites can message each other. That would be cool too.

Basically, what I want to do with it is make the user login in order to access some pages. And, I want them to be able to have a profile (with their name, age, and maybe a profile picture)

This is what I want to do. But I don't want to use the page protection code because thats only one login and password and I want the users to have their own user name. Also, from webs you can send out emails to the user (if you are the site owner) like email updates and stuff. But, I know this would be hard, all I want it the profile thing and stuff and the login and sign up forms. And, I want to be able to add "Welcome {user-name-here}" and where it says "{username-here}" would be where the username is. have set this up with authpro, but I want to create another site and I don't want to make another authpro account.

Another idea is to use Authpro. I think that an authpro widget could be in the side bar and then we drag it over to a page and set it up. That would be sweet!

Sincerely,
Nathan

Yeah! I agree! I've seen many people use webs JUST BECAUSE webs have a login system on thier webmaker.
