Users hamstrung with Yola Blog. No way forward!

For a very extended period users of the Yola Blog have been advised that the platform is a very low priority surpassing two apparent managers responsibility and no progress.

The removal of the ability of the download facility was and is a big stumbling block for users who wish to go forward with their blog but can't. New users are being advised to go for Tumblr or another Blog platform to accomodate their needs. Existing users can't even migrate their blog to the Tumblr platform.

People with external blogs can bring theirs into their Yola site with the use of an iframe. Existing users can't do anything to improve the facilities available for their blog. I really feel that this is a gross impediment for those who wish to advance their blogs but are just prevented from going forward.

Actually this has been my one pet peeve with Yola. I have over three years invested in my blog and I have no intention of giving it up for tumblr. There has been one slight improvement in the blog since 2008. I would be happy if they would just allow us to add a meta description to each post.As it is now they show as a duplicate tag for each post and we know search engines hate duplication. .

I'd pull the meta altogether and just let the heading and content do it.
Your headings are very descriptive and your content is clear.

This is fair feedback and I wish I could tell you we had different news on the subject, but at present, we do not. I have shared this thread with our Product and Engineering teams as well as a member of our senior management team.

I am personally a fan of us integrating with Tumblr, but the ability to export for members who have established blogs is a very good point and something I hope we can consider seriously if the blog is to remain a de-prioritized feature.

These are the type of things that erode trust because in my mind I say...What things that Yola offers now, that I devote time to will be ignored later?
