Is it possible to use alternate icons for the social media widget? I would like to replace the Tweet, Like and Google + share widgets with something else to match the look of my site.

Try this:

1 Click on each one and copy their address to a Notepad.

2 Upload the images you want then make them into a link (however you do that.).

Hi Jayloop,

You can definitely create alternate icons and upload them to your site.

The way the current social media widgets work is that they have various options and functionality built into them, that allows them to log in to your social networking accounts.

I am not sure if the URL that each widget directs to will work with an uploaded icon, but I would definitely give it a try. To copy the link each one directs to, right click on the existing icon and select "Copy Link Location".

Then, take a look at this tutorial about adding links to your pictures: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article....

I hope this helps!

FYI it works for share icons such as 'Tweet', but does not work for icons such as 'Like'.

^Try a Google Image Search for the Facebook Like you want, then put that on your site and link it.

Hi everyone, no, I could only get this to work on the Tweet icon, since it just links to a Twitter login. The Facebook Like and Google + icons do not appear to have links that can be copied. Therefore...it seems that I am stuck with the standard icons.

That's unfortunate, I've been trying to change the google icon with no luck, every click directs me to a google logon page with a different url each time so its impossible to set a link. Probably set up by google to stop exactly what we're trying to do as I think its against their t&g.
