Hi Paul

Right now the only templates you can use are the ones in the SynthaSite site builder. In future we might make it possible for you to upload your own CSS templates, but this development is going to take some time.

Thank you for this question and your interest in improving the way our templates work. Template/style customization is a high priority for us, so we are interested in any comments from our users in this regard.

Best wishes
Monique

This is an important question for me too. I really like SynthaSite as a way for my clients to get control over their own sites but they still want them to look professional. I cannot see us using SynthaSite until there is an easy way to upgrade the graphic design. It is a shame because it is probably the most user friendly web development tool I have looked at.

Kind regards

Ade

Hi Ade
We agree that this is a very important area for development. We are committed to offering more, better, fully customizable styles. I am glad you like SynthaSite and hopefully in the coming months we will be able to improve our toolset so we can meet your needs in the area of graphic design. We would certainly like SynthaSite to be a viable option for your clients.

Hi,
I think Synthasite is really great, but I would like to have another template called Best Friends. Could you put this one on your website please?

Hi Charlotte, Thank you for your template request. We will look into adding it in the future. Can you tell me, what should the template look like?

Thanks Monique

I guess this line at the bottom of some pages fooled me:

Website by SynthaSite | Design by Free CSS Templates

It also appears that i can't change the size of a banner or remove one on additional pages after the front page - is this correct? ie if I choose a template that has a big banner that I'd like for the frontpage - I'm stuck with it appearing all the way through.

Alternatively I could choose a bannerless template and create a stand-in banner with a banner-shaped-graphic under the menu bar along the top. That might be the simplest solution.

Cheers
Paul

Yes, we use free CSS templates, but these are rigorously tested to ensure that they work well with SynthaSite before we add them to our selection.

Your assessment of the way banners work is correct. Once again we hope to introduce greater flexibility in this area in future.

Hi Paul

Great question! This is definitely a feature that we are looking to offer to our users in the very near future. I can't commit to an actual date, but we have it on our backlog of things to do and I personally think that it's a great feature to have!

Hi guys, i know you are working on few features for us. I would be thankful if you can tell me approximately when we would be able to upload templated to synthasite. Though I need it badly, but i understand the technical hurdles and limitations. I wish i could upload a custom template on synthasite :-)

I am so excited to see new templates! Can you please for those of us who are in the holistic field, create templates that have a Zen sort of feel to it. I love the designer Rumbling Soul and I have been contact with him. I love his work and would love the ability to import his template on to my web page. I look forward to your future updates. Patiently waiting.. please hurry. ROFL!

The ability to import templates is still a long way off. The new templates we are working on are very neutral. Either plain solid colours or textured background. I am sure you will be able to do something really beautiful and "Zenlike" with them! Can you post a link to some of Rumbling's Soul's work so I can see what you are talking about.

Is it possible to have a very plain, simple design like FrozenAge but in black? As well, would it be possible to have the search results using the blog search tool in the same form of template and without google ads?

Hi Zyptic
I think the new templates we have coming will meet your needs. There is a very plain black one. The blog search widget is new, so I will have to ask our developers whether they can consider the enhancements you have requested for one of our future releases.

Just more choices that are tailored or some what tailored to multiple professions would work for me and others in health care, yoga, holistic fields, etc. As I stated earlier Rambling Soul one of your designers is by far my favorite designer on your site. Please incorporate more of his designs... Thanks guys!!!

Sorry - I missed that! I see who you are talking about now. I will let our developers know that we have a request for more templates by this designer. I also hope you are going to like the ones we will be releasing. They are extremely plain and the idea is that you can customize them to suite whatever professional or personal site you are trying to build.

I am actually thankful for the plain templates. I was looking for a more styleized template and couldn't find one. I chose a VERY BASIC template and worked with it. I am new and just got my site up and running. I think the "plain" template has helprd my sight sharp, clean and definatly helped my sight to look profesional. I still have a few tweeks to do but I am almost there. Check it out http://debbiefraser.synthasite.com/ I would like to thank everyone for all you have done and are all doing. This si the best "Build Your Own" EVER!

What can I say debbie but WOW... I simply love your work. I don't think there is one that isn't spectacular. You defiantly are a true artist.

Your layout and image placement shows your true artistic talents. The only thing I was missing was reading about you... I think if you included a nice bio you would be complete...

Two big thumbs up ;)

Thanks. I am thinking about putting 1 or 2 lines scattered horizonaly inbetween some of the ads. That way you can read them while some of the pages load. I am more of a paint software user and know nothing about HTML unless ther are magic buttons (SynthaSite,Flash ect.) Your's is the easiest by far. I am so thankful I came across this site. I am going to use this site to help land that great job of a lifetime. I am still researching about the email situation. I read on another post about Dot Tk free redirect email. Do you know anything about this company and do thay put an ad on your site. No ads is the main reason I chose SynthaSite. I beleive I have all the ads I need. :o) Thanks again and I think you rock!

I found my synthasite template available elsewhere for free online and it included a few extras, so I downloaded it.

When I opened the folder all the different parts of my template were inside as seperate images, which you can use with synthasite.

If you need to add text over the top use paint, this text wont be readable by search engines but it will be on your website.

Hope this helps some of you for now.
