Hi

I am trying to Verify my Ownership of my website with Google via my Webmaster Tools account with Google.
I have inserted the Meta Tag (provided by Google) on my home page at the top of the section, and have published my website. However when i go to Verify this through Google i get an error message saying :-

Attempted Method Outcome
Less than a minute ago
8/31/10 6:12:55 PM UTC Meta tag Verification failed. The connection to your server timed out.

I cannot work out why it is doing this?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Regards,
Seaview Flowers

I recalled your site and was able to find it earlier but you have set it up to disable right click...I can't look at your source code to see how you have set up the meta tag

Easy fix though......You have the code in but not exactly correct....This is from the Yola tutorial.

This is the tricky part! You need to copy the correct portion in order to successfully add the code to your site. The bit you need is between the quotation marks

You added the quotation marks also....Trust me you are not the first to do this

I still thought you and I worked on getting your site verified months ago when we were e mailing each other.

Hi Seaview Flowers - I took a look at your settings and the Webmaster code looks like it has been added correctly. Please note that your primary domain is http://seaviewflowers.co.uk/ and not http://www.seaviewflowers.co.uk/. You will need to submit the first address with Webmaster otherwise you'll see errors. If you would like to change your address so that http://www.seaviewflowers.co.uk/ is primary, let us know and we'll give you those steps.

Here's how to change the settings:
1. Login to your Yola account and make sure you are on the "My Sites" page.
2. Click on "Domains" and then click on "Advanced domain settings".
3. Make sure the correct domain name is selected on the drop-down list on the right.
4. Under "Include www prefix in address?" make your selection and click on "Change Display".

You should then be able to reverify your domain in Webmaster.
