I am having trouble verifying ownership for via google apps. I am trying to set up email for jbehaulageltd via google apps but keep getting error messages.

I have tried on various occaassions and get error message saying Verification failed for using the Meta tag method (less than a minute ago). We couldn't find the verification meta tag.
There are several ways to prove to Google that you own Select the option that is easiest for you.

My domain name provider is TUCOWS-CA

Hello Info,

In order to verify your site, you need to add the TXT file. Here is how to find the TXT for your Google Apps account:

If you would like to use Google Apps for email with your Yola purchased domain here are some basic instructions:

  • Log into your Google Apps account.

  • On the "Seup" page, click on "Verify Domain Ownership" and then click "Next" to begin.

  • On the next page, select the tab called "Alternate methods".

  • Select "Add a DNS record to your domain's configuration", and from the drop-down box select "Other".

  • This will generate the TXT record needed, it will look something like this "google-site-verification=3gx2xVdwXE6QxTqQWNVfv7zOpWvEjGhMPeLbACv16yQ".

  • Select the TXT record, right-click and copy it.

  • Log into your Yola account  and make sure you are on the My Yola page.

  • Click on "Domains" and, next to the domain you are using for your email address, click on "Advanced domain settings".

  • Click on "Change your DNS settings".

  • To add an TXT record, click on "Add DNS Record".

  • Select TXT from the dropdown menu.

  • Leave the "Name" field blank and paste the the TXT record to the "Value" field.

  • Click on "Update" to save the settings.

  • Once we have done this we will notify you and you can then go back to the page where you see your TXT record and click "Verify".

  • If you have any trouble with the general setup of Google Apps you would need to visit their help forum: Google Apps Help. Because Google Apps is a separate entity from Yola and we do not have access to their environment, we are only able to provide the basic steps. Please let us know if you have any trouble with this.

    Hi Adam

I removed the post you added below as it contained your personal email address and this is a public forum where anyone will be able to see it.

Did you follow the steps that Sanja posted above?
