Very confused about the renewal process....

Hi,

I have a Yola Silver account since last year November 18. I've just received an email that I'd need to renew my account, and got a coupon for it too (50% off so it comes to $49.95/year).

I'm kinda confused with the renewal process... I have a site that's up and running (www.honeybeeweddings.ca), redirected to a domain I bought at netfirms. I also have another yola site (www.kabuphotography.com), with the domain included in the yola package.

I see a message for me to renew my kabuphotography.com website. If I renew that, will my honeybeeweddings.ca website will be renewed also? To make the whole process even more confusing... when I click on the link to renew the kabuphotography website... it would be charging me only $39.95/year. I don't understand... is my kabuphotography.com part of the silver package or not???

I just don't want any service interruption with my websites cause they are my business. Can you help clarify this for me? Thanks.

Hi MonkeyRPN,

There's a couple of things going on here which I hope will help clear up the confusion.

honeybeesweddings.ca is a domain that you have purchased elsewhere. If you wish to keep this domain, you will need to renew it through the domain registrar you used to originally purchased this domain.

The Yola Silver renewal is a separate process. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a bug with this where the link to renew your Yola Silver is not available. We are in the process of fixing this.

When this is fixed, then you will be able to renew your Yola Silver for $49.95. Upon successful renewal, you can then use the domain credit that you'll receive to renew your kabuphotography.com domain for an additional year.

I hope that helps! We'll let you know when you can go through with renewing your Yola Silver package.

Hi Sanja,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have renewed the honeybeeweddings.ca domain already. I'm just concerned if I will lose all the content of my website if I failed to renew the silver package. Will I?

Please, I would really appreciate it if you can let me know when it's ready for me to renew my yola silver package. Thanks!

Hello MonkeyRPN,

We have now fixed up this glitch. You should now be able to renew your Yola Silver package by going to your My Yola page.

If you choose not to renew your Yola Silver package, then you will lose all the features you had with this package:

* Style: If you have purchased a style using a style credit you will still own and be able to keep the style. However if you applied a style from the Premium library, you will not be able to continue using this style and will be asked to renew your subscription when you next try to republish.

* Domain: If you are in time to renew your domain (this can be done up to 30 days after the domain expires) you can still renew it. You then become a Bronze user.

* Number of sites: If you have more than five published sites, you cannot republish until you have unpublished some of your site to get back to the allowed limit of five for for a Free/Bronze user.

* The Yola Link will reappear.

* Premium Support will no longer apply.
