Hello,
When you say you changed the name from UMAT Preparation to aucklandumat, where did you change this? Was this in your Site Builder or in Google Webmaster. Where are you looking for the change to appear in Google?

The reason that you see your FAQ page come up when you search for your site is because this is the only page that Google has indexed thus far. It can take some time for all of the pages of your site to be indexed, and when this happens you will see more of your pages when you Google your site.

Have you also submitted your sitemap to Google. Synthasite creates a sitemap for you to submit. The instructions for submitting this are in Step 2 of the Google Webmaster Tutorial.

Please let me know about the change you made to your name and I will give you any information I have.

Regards,
Emmy

Thanks so much for answering my question.
i changed the name in Site Builder. Not in google webmaster.
im aware that in google webmaster, it doesnt have a name for the site. just the URL.

i.e. if you search 'aucklandumat' the site pops up is 'UMAT preparation'

http://www.google.com/search?q=auckla...

i dont know how to change the name. UMAT preparation was my name. but i changed it.

thanks a million for answering my question

Hello,
Is this what you are speaking of:

That title can be changed from your Site Builder. Each of your pages has a Window Title which is what will show up in the area that you are seeing in the search engine results page; this is also known as the title tag.

For each of your pages, click on the Properties tab in the Content Sidebar and change the Window Title to reflect your business name or the topic of the page.

It will not show immediately in the search engines as it will take time for Google to re-spider and re-index the page with the new information.

There are other very useful fields in this area as well for you to fill in. Here is a link to another thread about this topic: What is a tag.

Hope this helps!

Hi withasterisk

This is a question we can't answer for you. All you can do is follow the advice you have been given and then sit back and wait for the Google spiders to do their thing. I see it is 4 days since Emmy last replied to you. You probably need to wait a little longer to see how things pan out.

It can take up to three months for new sites to be indexed so it looks to me like you are well ahead of schedule. Keep persevering with promoting your site. Anything you do will pay off in the end.
