Hi, sk02189!

What video player are you using? Also what is your website's URL so I can take a look?

Hi, sk02189. I mean what kind of video player are you using? The Youtube one or Metacafe one? Did you drag and drop a Youtube or Metacafe video player widget to your page and then put in the URL of the video? If you did, are you trying to make it automatically play when someone opens the page and looks at your site?

Hello sk02189

If you have added a YouTube video, you can get a YouTube video to play automatically when someone opens your site. However, you will need to edit the code from YouTube. So this is going to be a little tricky. It is quite hard to explain here because I need to show you what parts of the code to edit. In Yola you would:

1. Drag and drop an HTML Widget onto your page.
2. Paste your code into the HTML editor.
3. Then edit the code to make the video play automatically. This is how you edit the code:

Original code:
<!--<object width=”425″ height=”344″><param name=”movie” value=”https://www.youtube.com/v/Fmk4A_W4JrE&... src=”https://www.youtube.com/v/Fmk4A_W4JrE&... type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” width=”425″ height=”344″></embed></object>-->

o Replace the code: https://www.youtube.com/v/Fmk4A_W4JrE&...
o With: https://www.youtube.com/v/Fmk4A_W4JrE&...

So that the final code looks like:
<!--<object width=”425″ height=”344″><param name=”movie” value=”https://www.youtube.com/v/Fmk4A_W4JrE&... src=”https://www.youtube.com/v/Fmk4A_W4JrE&... type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” width=”425″ height=”344″></embed></object>-->

Please do not include the <!-- and -->. They are simply there to stop the code from rendering.

If you are not using YouTube, please do let us know which video player you are using.
