Hello katiaandbrian,

The code you're trying to paste seems to be interpreted. Please be sure to use this format:

<!-- (note the double dashes)

your code goes in here

-->

hi there, thank you, this didn't work still however, with my original code, a white box shows up, but by putting it in between what you gave me, nothing at all shows up, its completely blank...i tried both by omitting my own code's < and > and also including it, no difference

Try <!-- and --> as the wrap.

The double dashes are important as well as the angle brackets

Hello all,

I used Google Chrome Inspect Element to get the code from the posts above and it is this:

<!---
<object width="640" height="360"><param name="movie" value="https://www.youtube.com/v/picasacid?v...>
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
embed src="https://www.youtube.com/v/picasacid?v..." type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="360" width="640"></object>
--->

There is a <!--- < ---> missing from the start of the <!--- <embed> ---> tag. It also appears that the URL could be wrong, as I am getting the error "Movie not loaded" when I right-click on the object. It might be worth checking the movie link.

Hope this helps,

Andi

Hello KATIAANDBRIAN

You can paste code on Get Satisfaction by using the tags <!-- <code> and </code> --> (leave out the <!-- and -->).

Hi Katia,

Thank you for sharing your link again. I, too, was receiving an error that the page was not found, here is what I am seeing:

Please can you check that your video has not been marked as private? You will need to keep it as public in order to put it on your website, thanks!

Have you tried embedding the code again or refreshing the page after you marked the video as public? That could have been the problem.

Hi KATIAANDBRIAN,

I tend to agree with Andi. The URL for the "value" and "embed src" tags seem to be invalid. If you have already posted the video to Youtube, you can use the Youtube widget to add the video to your site. This may be the easiest method of accomplishing what you've set out to do.

To add a YouTube video please follow these few simple steps:

1. Open the "Multimedia" folder on the right hand side of the screen, and drag and drop the YouTube Widget onto your page.

2. You can search for a YouTube video you would like to add using keywords or, if you already have the video URL (in the address bar at the top - not the share link), you can add it manually.

3. To search for a video, type in your search criteria and click "Search Videos". From the search results select the video that you would like to add.

4. If you already have the URL of the video that you would like to use, click on the blue link (located under the "Search" box) that says"Add a YouTube URL manually", enter the URL of your video and click "Add video URL".

5. You will then be able to choose the alignment of your video and edit the margin.

6. Once you are ready to add your video, click "Save".

I hope this helps.
