wonder when Yola will feature new styles. Styles that have the option to change and choose the header font and its size etc. I still love yola but i am waiting for more styles that i could possibly integrate into my website.

Hi Beachtravels,

Thanks for letting us know of your continued interest in this feature. That is something that we do hope to release in the future, although I am not able to give you a definite time right now. Lots to come though and we are glad you are loving Yola!

Kind Regards,
Emmy

More styles are out! As well as custom CSS, so you can now change the font, etc. (I'm going through old ideas and getting their status updated - cleaning up!)

So shouldn't the label change to 'The company has completed this' or something like that?

Additionally Yola could add banner and background change, plus more colours to the existing styles, that would be also great!

Hi beachtravels and Valika

I am happy to tell you that our gifted engineers and designers are working round the clock on this very thing right now. Not only are we getting close to being able to release some great new styles, we hare going to introduce the ability to customize your styles by giving you much more control over page properties such as header text, background color, logo, banner image etc. We are also implementing a sneaky, super fun way to allow you to create sub-navigation for your site!

This is a massive project that involves some major changes to our current style library. New screens for the user interface have to be designed and implemented to accommodate all these exciting new options, and there is plenty of code that has to be written to handle all the new style data.

So the bad part is that it looks to you guys like "nothing" is happening with regard to styles. The reality is that there are wonderful things happening behind the scenes and soon all Yola users will be reaping the benefits. Emmy is right that we don't like to give exact dates because we never know what all the technical issues will be, right up until the last minute. Especially with a big, multi-part project like this one. I am sure some people's hearts will race when they read this thread, because they know how tight the deadlines are! However, I can tell you that you should start seeing some of these new options in approximately eight to ten weeks' time. Hopefully a bit sooner :)

Hey Monique,

How about the ability to edit certain parts of the css? This would be just great!

@Connor - for this round we are not going to expose the HTML and CSS of the style so that you can edit it directly. However, certain CSS properties will be editable via the WYSIWIG user interface. CSS editing is an advanced feature we are considering as a further development for later.

This is off topic, but it would be brilliant if you were able to right click on an image in the file manager and copy the image location (URL).

Would it be possible to include a couple of minimalist styles like SqueakyClean or NoFrills, with the ability to add a background, but with no banner space at all.

Alternately, perhaps if it is possible to make the Banner Height on SqueakyClean or NoFrills to be a selectable pixel number (0-300 pixels for example).

There are times when the banner is just waste of useful space.

Also, if the font in the banner space can be selectable (size and style), that would be really handy !

Thanks

Hi Pablo,
That would be a nice style option for sure. I will put this forth as a feature request for future style creation. We have a really nice style guide that will show you the various attributes of each of the styles, hopefully this will be helpful: Yola Style Guide. Thanks!
