About your tutorial 'promoting your site', I think Yola meant for you to read it, not copy it.

Hi. I went to your site and I emailed you mentioning how my site is dedicated to my dog Maggie who recently died at age 15. She was a very sweet and gentle labrador retriever that now lives in my memory and heart.

please visit it everyone and post links to it on your websites!
Thanks!

Love the crazy mouseover effects Stewart - really nice work!
You should consider preloading the mouseover images. (it's worth the extra code)
There is about a half a second delay the first time I hover over them as they are loaded into my browser cache. After that they work as intended (fast)
You may not be aware of this because they are already cached by your browser.
To prove the point, when on your home page, clear your browser cache and then hover over them again. This should in effect be the same as visiting your site for the first time.
My internet connection may not be the fastest out there, so I hope you do see what I am talking about. I have a HSDPA wireless connection.
Otherwise I'm really impressed. You have done an excellent job. Very artistic.

Hi Booomer - thanks for the comments I am no HTML expert by a long shot. Could you tell me what extra code that I need.
I have noticed the delay too as I often look at what I have done at work to see how it looks on a PC (I design on a MAC). It would be great to get rid of the pause.
Cheers

Hi Stewart,
Here is a tutorial I wrote up in the Synthasite days more than a year ago.
http://forsite.synthasite.com/tut-mou...
You could either follow it from the begining, use the htmlbasix.com link, upload just one "image set" and then copy and paste the code it generates for your other images.
Or
Jump to the "Editing your code manually" section, copy the code straight off the page and edit it manually. It's actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
If you have any problems, give me a shout.
Good Luck.

Thanks Boomer
I have had a play with the code builder you recommended and there appears to be lots of useful things on there - thanks
In regards to the codes for the mouse over effects they appear to be Java script. Unfortunately I have not upgraded to premium just yet although I have just found one good reason to do so.
Am I right in thinking that all the scripts will work once I do go to the premium level?
Thanks for all you help Boomer I shall keep the sites you have shown me booked marked until I go premium and I am ready to put all the finishing touches to the site.
Cheers

You do not need a premium account to do this Stewart. Forsite is still on a free account just to prove it. If you need more help, maybe we should move this discussion to a new thread or maybe one of your older ones, before Dreamerboy00 gets upset with us for hijacking his thread ;-)
